I would love to see what would be added if the devs chose the next couple of vehicles with community automotive madlibs

What style of poll would be better?

Format A: One giant poll that the player would get 9 or so votes

The options would look like this:
    Italian Sedan from 2000-2010
    German Semi Truck from 1990-2000
    American Convertible from 1950-1960

    so on so forth

    Format B:

3 polls, each player getting 3 votes. One poll for Nationality, One poll for Vehicle type and one for model year range.

Getting the community involved with the next car would be an awesome idea.

Everybody know that the "90's Minivan" would win, though, :p

B would be easier to sort out and the dev's could still make what ever they want within the "Guidelines" that we voted for

That thread could also be used as ideas for modders but other than that the thread is pretty much pointless unless the developers actually read it. However some vehicles such as the AB Piccolina may have some clues that the developers took some inspiration from the Vehicle Suggestions thread but I kinda doubt that.

Generally in game development there are some things to avoid.

One is offered great ideas for content / features. When developing a game, developer first has a plan, which might get revised during the development, but one of the problems in development occurs when straying away from that plan, getting in new wonderful features increases development time or more usual is that it eats time away from polishing etc.

With BeamNG, things don't work quite same of course, but they simply can't afford to implement all cool stuff users might want, for example content, game being in development for quite many years, it is very likely that they already know what their userbase wants in content wise and it is very likely that they have had roadmap for quite long time, probbaly few times revised roadmap as team has evolved as well as their features have evolved beyond what they could hope for at the beginning.

However after this many years, it might require quite heavy reasoning of why something new should be added, because it will always extend developing time to further into future or then some corners need to be cut and that is guaranteed flop route.

Hence polls or even petitions probably are not something worthy of time spent to them.

There is lot of videos in YT where people share experience about things, if you check game development mistakes to avoid videos, it is easier to understand my points above:

I imagine that A would be easier for them, considering they could add cars that they have already started work on as options, even just to gauge player's interests on the new demographics they plan to fill.
(lets say, hypothetically, they have a modern-ibishu minivan, and a 70's american fire truck, and both are in the late modelling stage. they are considering pushing the fire truck to completion faster, but then conduct a poll, and may find that more people want a modern van instead, and therefore can adjust their schedule to keep more players happy -again, hypothetical; I'm not saying the community actually wants a modern minivan over a firetruck.)

They did that a long, long time ago with the old "which vehicle would you like to see in-game first" polls - I'm hoping that comes back once the Wendover reaches completion.

It's really a shame that the SBR4 got such bad reception when it was released, there's so much about it which screams sexy, I consider it a GTR of the beamng world with its excellent control and 4wd setup.
Really keen on the ESBR4 though, I smell a new default vehicle :D

To change the topic a bit... The devs have announced sometime ago that they will be implementing a real-time audio modifier. Has there been any news about it from that time? Because I could use it right now :p

The video Nadeox1 (of the Pessima ramming a wall) posted a while back might have been related to something like that, but I am not certain.
