Well, you are wrong then because they're talking about the ETK 800-Series, not the SBR4.

Tdev hasn't been online for 2 days.

 

On the other hand, sixty-three people voted for the SBR4 in that poll (which meant it just barely edged out the Burnside for the No.1 spot), and if you read that thread further, you'll find a vast array of forum users defending the car.

It's always like that when the dev team releases an out-of-the-box car. Maybe it wouldn't be like that if we had more strongly established lore.

 

I would love to see official developer lore rather than having to make it up myself.

 

You know those coffee table books you see for specific models?

I would love to have some sort of brief, abridged version of something like that, just as a little thing in-game, maybe attached to the garage mode. Just flip through maybe ten pages detailing the in-world design, production, and history of each car.

 

Funnily enough, those books are present in the garage map.

 

Doesn't LucPanc always say something like that around the time of an update?..

Yes there was a good ammount of users looking forward to it, but there was an extreemly vocal and not tiny portion of the user base that was against the car.

Multituber/LucPanc seems to always post a fake "update is here" message a couple days before an update is speculated to drop just as an attempt to mess with people. I just ignore them since he never has evidence for his claims.

 

But, seriously?, how people can say that?, the sbr4 is my 3th favourite car in game!, it looks very sexy. Dev gabester deserves all my respect and congratulations for a such a nice design!

 

Now that it's been out a while and recieved the changes it has, we are all use to it and know how good of a car to drive it is. When it first came out and everyone had only seen a couple of pics, it was controversial due to the unconventional styling. Some people liked it anyway, some did not.

IMO before it was changed recently it had almost toyish proportions. I always liked it, but it certainly is a lot better now than it originally was.

Even now there can be a vocal outlash to weird things, just look at the eSBR reactions on the first day. The Soliad has a lot of negativity around it too. Strangely, people tried to frame the constructive criticism around the AB car as negative even though it wasn't.

 

I was one of the people who din't like the car and still don't but not because of what it does but because of the production years. I have a massive bias against modern vehicles. Do I despise the SBR4 no, do I like the car no, do I think it was a good addition to the game absolutely. I was never against the car being added to the game, but I just wan'st into it being added.
Edit: A reason why. The car still handles very poorly for a modern vehicle EX: SBR4 is better 120mph or lower then the Bolide but the Bolide is about equal to the SBR4 after that and that's with SBR4 traction control on any setting (keyboard auto transmission). It feels like it has the exact same problem as the Bolide where the rear wheels have way too much power with no traction and or the center of gravity is not in a good spot.
