Update Speculation thread

I think we need an older Japanese sports car like a Nissan Fairlady, but it would be a refreshing twist for it to have a rally pedigree and be made by Hirochi.
A 90's EU-spec Gavril would be cool, like a Cosworth-esque coupe. (Cosworth Sierra inspired variant?)

I'd probably be expecting it around 3:00 where I live.

 

I think the devs should add more cars to the brands that have less cars like ETK, Burnside, etc.
Oh, right its Tuesday....... *screams internally* (Wait, its 7pm. Probs next day.)

 

I disagree, because it gets to a point when you can only have so many cars in a brand. We already have some land yachts, old sedans, and a lot of 90's sedans, so older ETKs or newer Burnsides probably wouldn't add anything new or exciting in.

 

Everyone is so excited for old cars, I am just hoping for an ETK SUV, with active air suspension and cool ESP programs.

Is there a time they normally release updates at?

 

An SUV would be new and cool. Does anyone want Cabovers?

 

I would love to see a european truck, with cabin suspension and soft air suspension on the front and tiny turning circles

 

I dont expect any new cars, neither any update soon. 0.15 was a huge update and it takes time to recover from that. The new update will have some new things that can be interesting though, for example gas stations in italy and I hope, UI optimization...

 

What kind of EU truck? COE or others?

 

I am also not really expecting an update sinds they normally should have start teasing around now right?

 

April 23rd, BeamNG Release new update, Nothing at all updated or added, Very late april fools joke.

 

Being a smaller update, they might not do any teasers. It is a bit weird how quiet they've been, might not be today. Still possible though, it's not even 8amEST and updates aren't released until mid-afternoon EST.

If not today, then this Friday is my next guess. If not then, then just gotta wait for some more info.

As for "After the Wendover car speculation"...

Another 90's sports car would be good for career mode. Yes we have the 200BX, but it's a big niche. 90's cars are the compromise of the simpler times of vintage cars with modern performance, and along with the Sunburst (and to a lesser extent the 200BX) would be affordable in the early game and could be upgraded to stay relevant into late game.

A vintage British roadster would be a unique addition, customizable (LS MG swaps, looking at you), and great for auto cross.

Some more end game content would be appreciated, the Hillclimb SBR4 is the only thing we have right now. As I often say, the K-Series with active aero, aggressive wide body kit, big engine, and luxury interior would make a nice late game performance car without investing the effort to make an entirely new vehicle.

Personally, I think an old USSR rustbucket "how did this pass emisions/inspection" passenger car would be great for a "the player is broke, but not willing to buy a pigeon" vehicle

 

Just noticed something ... on the latest teaser video ( http://media-cdn.beamng.com/czedn7GnkLM2o08e ) Nadeox has 10km on the trip computer with a full fuel tank, is it a hidden message to say that working gas stations are incoming or something like this ? (i know that if you reset your vehicle spawn with a full fuel tank but the app doesn't reset and there isn't any gas station on utah but still)

 

Did you notice all those skidmarks at front of that other door? It might of taken more than 1 Pessima to get desired result.

 

Maybe he did 10km just by trying to smash the back of this poor pessima

 

I used the trip computer, it counts total for all cars, and stays the same after you reset the vehicle so no. I wouldnt expect working gas stations yet.

 

I think well be gettin a bigger update considerconsidering the last real update was in december (italy) tho if its more content or improved gameplay and features i cant tell

Also its about 5 pm in germany so i dont think its gonna come out today

 

It's not going to be a large update. December to April is a fairly standard update interval and the few big things they are working on (traffic, Bluebuck, UI, career mode) will not be ready for this update. Should mostly be little map updates, the eSBR, world editor 2.0, along with the usual little fixes and such

Judging by how silent the devs have been since Friday, it would not suprise me if there is no update today but I won't call it until 4pm EST. That's usually the latest they will come out.

 

normally comes out around 7pm GMT.. it's all been a bit quiet, and so i don't think there will be a vehicle, or map in this update.. considering we have only heard about audio adjustment in real time, maybe we can expect some audio changes... although i may be wrong, some surprises were the ibishu hopper and etk 800 and etc..

a vehicle will be a nice surprise, but i won't hold my breath for one..
