Honestly, unless you lick your video card or jam your motherboard into the oven, the chances of you messing something up while building is very slim. In the rare occasion that a part like your motherboard comes DOA, they will ship you a new, working one. If you still don't want to build and want a prebuilt, avoid Alienware and anything similar. For the most part it's "RED LEDS BLACK CASE LOOK AT ME I'M POWERUL!" with really bad and unbalanced specs, which seem to be the worst possible thing for BeamNG.
when you know nothing about company say nothing please alienware laptop are the best on the market and are recommended everywhere Notebookreview is the first place. Msi and clevo are after... They are upgradeable and easy to work with vs asus crappy laptop that are not user friendly at all.. i will never own an asus... alienware is the ways to go for prebuilt or a shop
Alienware, performance is ok. But the price is ridiculously high, they take absolutely zero consideration for the thermal requirements of the parts leaving you with overheating and throttling problems galore and they have some of the flimsiest casings I have ever seen. Dell enforce their own driver update servers instead of the GPU/network/anything else manufacturer which then host massively outdated drivers (in the case of my GPU driver on my old dell it was a full 2 years behind). There is absolutely zero reason to ever buy an alienware unless you are happy paying extra for a poorer quality product.
Alright guys, after thinking for a very long time, I have decided to build my own computer. But before I buy my parts I need suggestions for parts and my price limit is $1,500, including the keyboard, monitor and mouse. - cole
May I ask, what are you actually on about here? Alienware overheats, is overpriced, and overall sucks. Only an Alienware fanboy completely oblivious to better products would defend them. You see, Alienware gets so much money from kids who think more red LEDs = more power. Ugh...
You'll get some good build suggestions here but I'll also recommend you go to the "Systems" section on the Toms hardware forums as you can also get suggestions on your build there: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-31.html (will probably be a mobile link since I'm on my phone)
Oh hey, it's you again! Alienware is the worst company to pay because you are paying for aesthetics. Not performance, not cooling. For lights and shiny crap.
got a few bags of LEDs and a soldering iron here, I'll do flashy stuff myself (reminds me, I was going to do an IR torch and havent yet, tomorrows procrastination maybe).
Indeed so. Especially video cards and power supplies. Hardly any will fit a good video card, or full-size power supplies.
Alright, I think I will build one. I'm not sure how to start though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just wanna put this out there, you can put a motherboard in the oven and it will still work. I've done it to revive video cards before.. - - - Updated - - - Plus they usually don't have very good airflow.
