EDIT@GTAMAN788: Noone's gonna ban or bully you for having autism dude, don't worry ;)

Maybe some of you diehard BeamNG fans would play this with the bugs, but there's more people than you on the internet that would just come here and say "omg dis gaim sux I want my money back! :("

Remember how you responded when you bought GTA IV and it kept crashing every half hour in the months after release? Remember how you bought Simcity and it didn't work on release? Remember how you bought Diablo 3 and it didn't work on release? Remember that other game that you bought, which I didn't mention, that didn't work on release?

You might say now that you would pay for a techdemo that crashes all the time, and I'm sure a lot of you really wouldn't mind, but some of you that *think* you wouldn't mind, would really just get bored of having to reboot the game every so often, and then wouldn't be interested anymore when the game *is* working properly. It would be killing for a small indie company like BeamNG to release a half-finished demo because 60% of the players would just go on the forums or reddit or whatever and say "this game sux it doesn't work don't buy it" and they would never spend money on it again.

I know it's easy to say that you would like it, but trust me on this, many of you would unconsiously be less inclined to spend money on any future BeamNG(as in the company) products if the first demo you play is full of holes. You just don't get to enjoy it as much as when it just works from the start.

That said, I am, just like you all, looking forward to playing this game for the first time.

I will side with the devs here and say that I would prefere a more polished version a little later (note: little later, so not in 5 years time), then a buggy version tomorrow.

Crashes and bugs. I don't care tdev :) I'll start the game up again and I'll continue testing. I understand there are bugs and my opinion: I don't really care if BeamNG would crash all the time at this stage :)

I don't think any of that would happen. If Beamng releases anything right now, it would be in Alpha state. When a game is in Alpha it can have tons of bugs, that's what alphas are for, so people can report bugs and they get fixed by devs. There is absolutely no point in complaining about bugs in an alpha-state game. If they don't release anything and they just wait for a final release, then the game will have bugs and people will complain about it, because 4 people can't test it as much as thousands can. If you want a polished game, you release an alpha, then a beta, and then a final version which still continues to get updates.

Oh! I have autism too, but I got friends :) Maybe you will find some friends some day.. And yeah I agree... Every night when I lay in bed, I'm thinking 'I wish I could grab my laptop and play BeamNG in bed'... Vacation is coming soon... We are traveling to Italy by train :) I really hope I can smash some virtual cars in the train then. When we arrived, I'm gonna sit in the sun with a cold coke and play some BeamNG :D IF we can play BeamNG in July :D

Us die hard fans might not mind the crashing but remember that this game will have a public image. If an unstable demo is released, it will make the game and developers look bad even it's an early build.

My GTA is rock solid stability wise. Running iCEnhancer to give epic graphics too, would suggest it.

I don't mind to much either way. If tDev thinks its too unstable for release though that means that it is too unstable for release, in my eyes wait until they feel happy with their product so that they can enjoy the release as much as you.

Only real reason I play GTA IV anymore is to horse around with the cars, or go On-Duty as a LCPD Officer. :)

I just race around in cars while listening to music.

On that note, would be epic if beamNG had a system that would play the users music and give them in game music controls (play/pause, next, prev is all that would be necessary). Would make crusing while listening to music just that bit easier. Also the same sort of thing with internet radio, allow it to open pls files that link to internet radio to have an in game radio system where content isn't looped (like gta) as the user can enter their favourite radio station.

No need for that, just open the browser on the background. I'm always listening to internet radio while playing GTA IV.

Yeah, but having to tab out of the game (rigs of rods) to change song or station has always irritated me. GTA already supports this idea minus the internet radio part by having independence FM where you can change song by long holding the left/right d-pad buttons. Would be cool to see BeamNG implement this or something similar as i assume it isn't to hard to get the engine to play some songs stored in a user stated directory as torque3d will likely support the mp3 format by default. This would be a neat feature and will mean you dont have to spoil the immersion to skip a song.

Most keyboards have a full complement of multimedia controls (play/pause/etc) that work with music software like Spotify and iTunes.

In response the Mythbuster, those are not the same sales model, Minecraft had bugs, Arma 3 has bugs, Kerbal Space Program has tons bugs on every release. What people using these sales models do is get a verison done, and then a large bugfix update about 1-5 days later. This model works fine, and the games have been played for a very long time despite all of the bugs. I see what you were saying, but that isn't really how early release sales models work.

My keyboard does have those keys. But they only work if the music application is the active window. Such programs didn't exist when my keyboard was made. The joys of using a keyboard from the 90's :p
But I don't tend to find that a lot of keyboards do have media keys as most people I know are using things such as one of the cheap dell keyboards. So it may be a useful features to some, for others their may be no point. But it would be nice none the less.

Having an older (2004) HP keyboard, mine doesn't have the buttons either. Fortunately, I don't listen to music.

You're making a huge assumption that BeamNG has a releasable version done and is in a state ready to be distributed. Minecraft was already a free and playable game when they started accepting money for access to the survival mode. They already had an online transaction system setup for when people wanted to have customized player skins in the original creative mode. All the foundation was already there. Arma 3 already has the base engine coded because all it uses is the next version of their "Real Virtuality" game engine that was used in Arma 2. I'm fairly certain they don't build the engine from the ground up each time, else they'd probably give the engine a different name. The first version of Kerbal Space Program that was released to the public for purchase was 0.7.3, which was far enough along in engine and UI development for release. You really don't know what you're talking about because you don't know where BeamNG is in it's development. AND NEITHER DO I. All I know is what the devs show us, and as much as I'd like to drive the few cars around the few maps, if the devs don't think it's ready for release, they are probably right. I have seen almost zero UI and they haven't even shown a main menu.

What mythbuster said about an early release having a possible negative impact on how well it would be recieved is completely legitimate. Another thing, packaging the alpha for release takes time. If they get an early version ready for buyers, then every time they update the game, they will have to spend time repackaging version 2, version 3, and so on. The less time they spend early on trying to package an unfinished product that might not be well-recieved, and instead focus all the time in pure development, the better for the end user. I realize that people are excited to play, but they can't keep demanding a release or demo because they think they know where BeamNG is in development. Hell, most of the videos we have aren't even full gameplay. They've mostly been cuts and edits to showcase the great things. Just take some time to think about what they aren't showing, probably because there is little or nothing to show (Main menu, UI, graphical options, which are all important for a release). It'll be out when it's out. Every time one of the devs responds to someone whining about a release, it pisses me off thinking about what that dev could have been doing otherwise.
