I know there's a long way to go with this mod, but what if you were to add an optional retro-styling package? something like a daihatsu Mira Gino, nissan pao, or those bodykits that they make to make kei vans look like old VW kombis? here's a mockup of what I'm thinking of:
The i-miev is considerably bigger than the Aria, but I can maybe see about some kind of EV version. I’m just not sure if EVs fall under Kei car regulations, so I’ll have to do a bit more research. Hm, maybe. I haven’t completely finalized the styling, but I’d like it to be modern, but subtle. So I may be able to make a retro kit or something, I’m just not exactly sure if it’d work with the design of the car.
An electric version would be neat with EVs officially being added to the game, but I think there's a reason that the Mitsubishi i-MiEV is still the only electric kei car after a decade of being on the market. EV kei cars still have to adhere to the 68hp rule, so the power-to-weight ratio tanks when all the heavy EV parts are added on. That's probably one of the reasons why the first generation Nissan Leaf was much more popular than the i-MiEV, despite being heavier, more expensive, and having a similar range.
Im excited for this mod, and it looks great, but some areas of the model seem to be lacking detail. I'm sure that will be fixed.
Something like a Daihatsu Canbus should look nice if it needs to be more modern btw they collab with Miku So these are official itasha?
That’s a screenshot from the first post, right? Trust me, I’ve gotten a looot better at modeling since then. The final will be much more polished. (^^) That’s freaking adorable! :3 I actually really like the design cues in the front; it’s given me a bit of an idea for how to improve the Aria a bit. And that two-tone paint design is a must-have as well. (^^)
