Boom, sure enough, just duplicated exact same behaviour
Just as well I have an atom tablet I regularly used, and again, does the same.

My experience on a core 2 duo Mac was chrome being more responsive than safari, once hardware acceleration was turned off for page render (a feature safari didn't even support) as the GPUs were just that bad that they couldn't really do it

That Nuvoton chip does that, it's to do with the fan control, those temperatures are a kind of feedback as to what the fans are doing, they vary wildly and no one really knows what the numbers mean :p but they don't mean anything.. i've had 140c from one of those sensors.. CPU is the only thing you should listen to from the Nuvoton chip..

April 9, 2019: The end of the NT 5.1 era. Microsoft was still pushing out updates to XP-based operating systems like POSReady. XP didn't die in 2014, you could trick the servers into thinking you were running POSReady.

Things that happened in XP's lifespan: Two Bush presidency's, Windows Vista's relevancy, two Obama presidency's, Windows 7, Windows 8's relevancy, 9/11, Windows 10, the death of Steve Jobs, 3/4 of a Trump presidency...

The list goes on and on. Amazing how a piece of software can stay relevant for so long.

Time to build an XP machine. Not the top end, but something I'd have respected from around 2005-2007.

comcast sucks? or you just aren't paying them enough to not suck? :3

i have 180 down with comcast, but merely 12 up

there is literally no good option for upload speed unless you pay to bring in a symmetrical two gigabit line

you can get gigabit down... with 30 entire mbps up

    for like $120/m

i mean, it really doesn't make economic sense to completely replace infrastructure in most areas where the old people making up the majority of the population will pay for the cheapest package

and DOCSIS arbitrarily allocates up and downstream bandwidth to favor end-user download speeds, there's nothing preventing conventional broadband from physically allowing higher upload speeds

It's a NoVideo cash grab at the low end market, except it hasn't really worked. AMD had always dominated in entry level performance, Nvidia just doesn't know how to do it.

Problem is people are stupid. "It's Nvidia so it must be better!!! That's what the TechTubers told me!!!111" They believe everything Hardware Unboxed says without even thinking about reading the Arstechnica article.

It's going to dominate the market.

Whatever. I'll keep buying Radeon cards because they have much higher compute power per dollar than nvidia cards do. They are a bit weaker in gaming, but for GPGPU workloads are absolute beasts.

I bought a GTX 1070 when they were new (and before Ngreedia released the 1070Ti the fuckers) because it was the middle of the mining craze, one of my R9 380's was dying, and I couldn't get ahold of enough RX 480's cheap enough. I bought my GTX 1080 I have now used for $100+my old card because, well, who passes up that deal?
