Also light personal transportation seems to live renaissance of electric vehicle, even quite small manufacturers are bringing up new EV options, so things are looking pretty nice for EV and of course it is making sense that BeamNG follows new developments in vehicle world. Rear wheel steering is another thing that some supercars seem to have now too, I did read that it is something they use in racing too now, together with brake and thrust vectoring. Modern vehicles are quite different than most what BeamNG has, modern Bolide would kinda make sense, but then it would add again more things to keep up to date etc. which takes easily enough time to make it more difficult to make happen.
I somewhat agree, but I think it can be done. It would have to be a slightly quirky supercar though, and not a "hypercar". If they did it under the Hirochi brand, they could reuse the same digital gauge cluster etc. However, I think it would have to be an aluminium tub, since my understanding is that carbon fibre is not something that can be simulated accurately yet, but I could be proven wrong on that, I haven't tried it. I think making a supercar would be technically fun to do though. So perhaps if they can't do carbon fibre properly, they are choosing not to do it at all. Until the physics engine can do it justice at least.
Aluminum chassis? That can only mean one thing, a Prius super car. It's obviously the most sensible real life counterpart for aluminum based performance.
Proper CFRC simulation requires cracking, which isn't really a thing even in super advanced game engines on the scale that we would need.
A 2020 hypercar? Im not convinced... Tho it wud make for a great showcase of what beam is capable of simulating... Also and it still shockes me... Hybrids are almost outdated by now... A possible h 2020 supercar would have to be electric
There are a few Aluminium supercars --- Post updated --- Audi r8 eg i think --- Post updated --- Also id love to see petroleum gas powered cars cars which wud be really easy to implement
There's a healthy ammount of aluminum performance cars, but they generally aren't cheap. The Prius which I jokingly mentioned a minuete ago is a bunch of plastic and aluminum bolted to a steel frame IIRC. In the episode of Roadkill where they tow a Prius with a Gremlin, the guys had trouble with the alumnimum bumper of a Prius.
Also beamng is not only about crashing so i wouldnt mind if the carbon fiber isnt cracking convincingly
We really need a modern european mpv/van like merc sprinter/vw crafter... And especially a ambulance version i drive one irl and wud love to "practice" a bit in beam... --- Post updated --- This isnt the update... Just a hotfix for Nvidia or similar
Don't tell me you just tagged him over that.. I'm getting the vibe that you don't have any clue how forums work.
