    hello, ive been working on a drag etk800 and its all going pretty good, lots of power (2500ish hp) radiator , block.

    But i have 2 problems;
    I succesfully ish installed a sequential gearbox from the sunburst into the etk but the clutch keep overheating wich makes the car as soon as i launch all show but no go.

    Second problem is the automatic gearbox, it launches like crazy (wheelies for days) but it takes waaaay to long for the auto gearbox to shift up the revs are staying too long (1-2 sec) in the red. Before it shifts up.

    Anyone knows how to fix those

    Thanks

    I believe
    Code:
    powertrain": [
        ["type", "name", "inputName", "inputIndex"],
        ["frictionClutch", "clutch", "mainEngine", 1],
    ],
    "clutch": {
        lockTorque = xyz,
    },
    The lockTorque parameter controls what torque the clutch starts to slip at, maybe changing that from auto-calculate to an absurd value will fix it? On mobile so I can't really test it and I doubt the syntax is correct, but should work.

    Does it slip when launching only or all the time? If when launching only, then you really don't have any choice but to either use the thing with manual clutch control or massively increase the thermal properties of the clutch (which will only delay the burned clutch)

    What you are probably seeing is that the transmission waits to shift until the wheels don't slip so much anymore. It's actually a useful thing, otherwise the car would just continue to shift up and up and up while the wheels just happily spin around.

    In any case, without videos with some debug apps visible, not super easy to fix your issues ;)

    No its launches like crazy , but as soon im in 2 or 3rd gear it starts to slip and the engine revs but it doesnt accelerate anymore.

    About the auto transmission,
    Again it launches like crazy but hangs to long in the gears will i want it to shift so it accelerates faster.

    wich apps (names please im not really formilliar with the debug apps) you want then i can make a video when im home.

    Increasing the torque converter size should make the transmission shift up sooner. Automatic transmissions usually wait a bit for both sides of the converter to reach a similar speed before shifting from what I can tell. If this messes with your launch though, just add a lockup clutch that activates in 2nd with some unholy high lockup torque value.

    i have uploaded 2 videos: (quality is bad because its still finishing the upload)

    on the auto tranny here you can see it already when shifting to 3rd but shifting to 4th takes waaay to long for my liking , anyway i gonna try the suggestions posted above

    Clutch overheating problem was solved , the clutch was staying at 50% procent all the time because either i or on default the clutch was also assigned to the left joystick
