well, it needs to be small, its a kei car... oo center panel and tall taillights, reminds me of those new daihatsu move RS, keep up the good work!
yeah im aware me and Rezia had a conversation previously discussing its size. thats why i responded with that.
I dun think Rezia could really do a Bosozoku variant... Would a souped-up, overdone and way too powerful race variant be possible though? K looked up Kei race cars and... A Daihatsu midget... Race car. Seriously look at this damn thing. I love it. Ahem adorable midget racecar aside, maybe something like this? Or for something slightly simpler and less extreme, maybe this? And, thirdly, maybe more 'street' style cars like these ones? Also, if you do go for race variants, could we get a Union Jack roofed racing green Aria with golden wheels as a joke or no? I mean the mini is pretty much a Kei car tbh.
Well, bosozoku cars are fun to make, much less strict than typical variants, one can let him/herself loose and go all crazy with design and it is very much part of Japanese car culture.
I could definitely do some kind of bosozoku version! Race and street versions are planned too. Maybe i can even squeeze an inline 4 or something in the engine bay for an illegal custom version or something. As for a “mini” version, that actually gave me a bit of an idea. Instead of like copying the mini, maybe there could be like a parody of it with a japanese flag instead of a union jack and stuff. I’ll worry about the skins later though.
i hope this will be as great as the kashira 2nd gen, will you do all the same configs and the sliding dors o the aria?
confirmed that the aria will have sliding doors . . . if a racecar variant is done, like a legit factory racecar, i think a gt500 style kit (massive aero bits and wide body) would be better than a gt3 style kit
1.3 I4 swaps were pretty common in Australian miras/cuores, so i think it'd fit pretty well on the aria too (altho almost no space on engine bay, wich would lead to pretty cool turbo positioning if its present)
not that tuned, i mean those --- Post updated --- i got a stupid idea that could kinda work for the engine; flat 5 mid engine
don't forget that 68hp is a lot when talking about electric motors. their power is rated across a broad range, also available instantly, rather than at a peak rpm. you could technically get away with something like a 50.5 or 51kW motor, which is more than the i-MiEV. 52kW is plenty for such a small vehicle, and would feel very zippy around town while giving a very pleasant driving experience. my guess is that a car like this would have dual 25kw motors (one for the front, one for the back), simplifying an AWD system to lower weight. also, due to the forgiving safety standards of kei cars, a fiberglass body could be an option for reducing weight, thus increasing range with a smaller battery pack. the current nissan leaf (a much bigger car) keeps weight under 1600kg for all trims, and is the best-selling electric compact in the USA. hell, the i-MiEV weighs under 1200kg. by using 21700 type battery cells, assuming 3.7V and 5000mAh each, you can have a very lightweight but very energy-dense battery pack. sure, costs will go up, but such is life for any electric vehicle in this decade. at the moment, electric vehicles compromise cost and range for comfort and operation costs, and range isn't so much of an issue for a kei car anyway (good luck on the freeway in any kei car, not just an electric one).
here's a bunch of ideas 1- electric drift 2- a lifting rear (instead of a bed, a box.) 3- ''suicide dors'' and sliding dors 4- a food van option 5-a camper vertion note that these are just idea that i don't necessarily except to be in the final version
