Well, looks like all of the engine sounds changed... And some of my mods are engine swaps But it has to be fixed manually Great.
if anyone is wondering, the esbr name 300, 500, and 800 are the horsepower amount rounded to and even x00 number yes, that means the 800 has almost 800 horsepower.
I'm guessing that Apex is based somewhere in Europe, but operates stations globally, in a manner similar to Shell. They are based in the Netherlands, but operate several local subsidiaries.
I noticed in casteletto, there's a statue of an owl. is it possible that Civetta derives its name from the town (the owl, perhaps being the crest of castelleto), suggesting that the Civetta car company originates from the casteletto area?
Am I the only one kind of sad about the body shape changes? The Roamer and Miramar are improved but, the H-Series looks like it got its beltline lowered and put in a rather strange place, the Sunburst lost its beautiful rear fenders that really set it apart from any real-life equivalent, the Moonhawk got smaller and rounder (I really liked it as a big, chunky, lumbering brick!), and the 800 Series looks like it went down a size class. Just... why? Most of the others I can get over, the Moonhawk doesn't necessarily look bad in the aggregate, but why ruin the Sunburst like that? Not just those wonderful fenders, but also the width of the cabin and at the beltline. It just looked so much stronger before. I'm usually the last person to argue in favor of a bloated compact car but the way it is now it just looks weak and awkward relative to how it was before. The Custom version, in particular, looks like a stunted version of its former self.
The sunburst I agree, it just don'st look the same. The Moonhawk though looks more like a 1970's standard american car especially from the side. The H-series I'm neutral about since Vans can have tiny changes and it could be considered massive changes. What I don't understand is the ETK 800 series. It just confuses me why they din't just make both versions available and call one of them European Spec and the other North American spec.
Like I said, the Moonhawk doesn't necessarily look bad, it just looks like it's trying to be smaller. Less like a Pig Iron Brick. You know, I did kind of like it as a Pig Iron Brick. In both cases subtle changes but easily sufficient to wreck the car's aesthetic. It's like the Sunburst's fenders; they even still kind of bulge, but they're less well-defined which makes the whole car look weaker - then the way they narrowed the rear end and cabin just seals the deal.
I find them kind of a mixed bag - they've really done a great job emphasising the fenders on the Miramar, and the Moonhawk became a little more cigar-shaped. The big old block still feels chunky, but now it does a better job at telling the world that it's a sporty car. The Covet trades some of its blockiness in the rear favor of a more rounded shape that reminds me of the Suzuki Swift. The sunburst becomes more rounded in the style of Japanese cars of the era, but I'm torn because I was so used to it being this blocky, muscular style. Thankfully the AWD models retain some of that with the widebody. I think the rear end of the ETK 800 was definitely due for a trim, but now the rear window seems too small compared to the taillights - and the greenhouse seems too steeply sloped on the sides. The only change I really don't care for is the one to the H-series. It feels way stouter and more rounded. I'd say that might be a possibility - anybody care to translate the plaque?
Even if it was a "reality check" (I'd have to wait for a dev response and frankly I'm not sure which one I'd ask), its previous look did sort of help to set it apart from potential real-life counterparts, like it wanted to announce to the world that it was the sporty alternative. Now it's just weak and mousy, even in customized form if the screenshot on the devblog is anything to go by.
Wow, turns out i loaded steam at just the right time didn't know about it, but unfortunately that did mean i missed tdevs countdown cool update, colours on the bus are a little different now (on presets) but i'll probably have to update on my end (stock presets are fine) also bus sounds like it's engine is about to blow up at 2000rpm not a good noise to make really, prefer the old sounds.. don't see a 5 speed diesel automatic in sight either (thought I read this in the change log but it's not there..) I6d and I4d noises are a massive improvement..
"Car slides like on ice -- Antonio Civetta" Definitely a reference to Civetta sportscars, so we can safely assume Antonio Civetta was the company founder.
About new shapes I think is an improvement in all of them. Love it. Same when they changed the shape of the sbr4 to make it wider. Is normal with new shapes and faceliftings that people need time to get use to it, but that happens all the time IRL, it never happened to you to see a new model for the first time and thinking.. meh... but later after a couple of times seeing it on the streets thinks that it really looks great?
Real life facelift or generation change doesn't alter the styling of cars already manufactured. This is not the case with BeamNG, since all Sunbursts will look like this from now on.
I actually prefer the Sunburst now that it’s been trimmed down a little. And the others too, but mostly the Sunburst.
