Please give a Support ID so that we can check your logs: https://supportid.beamng.com It may be that your configuration have weird values in one of the color configuration. Try changing the colors slightly in the third-color wheel (it controls the rollcage color), should fix that.
Have the devs considered doing an opt-in beta for BeamNG? Something like what the Automation devs have been doing, no one wants to have a ''stable'' version of the game just leave you with a black screen.
Mods? We will see about that, please give us the time to see if there's a solution for this CEF issue first. @all those having black screen issues, have you guys tried the workaround explained here? #129 Does it work? (ie. should make the UI visible at least) Please let us know.
This workaround also fixes the black screen on Linux w/ Wine (since whatever API CEF is using for D3D11 isn't implemented yet). Hopefully this could stay as a permanent option!
It's fine here, but the Barstow has some problems with colours… If you install the chrome bumper you can still change its colour even if it should stay chromed. Shouldn't that be called Colourable bumper?
I would understand that my configuration has issues, however, that is also happening in official vehicles, which I haven't modified in any way or form, whilst also, changing colour values and chrome/brightness settings hasn't fixed the issue either. As you can see in the image, these are one of the affected vehicles with roll-cage that also has this weird issue.
The UI has started flickering a lot after the latest update while the rest of the game runs super smooth. Seems like the problem is for people running with multi-gpu systems since it is the same for a friend that also runs sli. Otherwise a really solid update! Good job! Edit: I tried manually starting the workaround that you implemented for people having blackscreens and it is working fine now
You are probably missing some modification somewhere. Do a clean installation as explained here: https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#How_do_I_perform_a_clean_reinstall.3F Do not skip any step. @everybody We have created a separate thread for the black screen issue. Please check the first post, try the workaround described, and eventually compile the form provided. It would help us to better keep track of the issue: https://www.beamng.com/threads/0-16-black-screen-issue-info-and-fix.62130/#post-1019581 V They'll both come in the future
Alright so, I've had a little more time to absorb the changes. From the vehicle selector, in reverse order: Roamer: Mainly housekeeping here; adding configs that made logical sense but hadn't been bothered with before (such as AT 2WD and MT 4WD variants). Also, the Sport variant now has the D15 Sport's hot engine. My previous assessment of the body shape changes was precisely backwards; I got old and new mixed up, and the new is better. Overall a good change here. Hopper: Custom version is more serious. Hopefully the rigidity reductions will help reduce the camera shake previous versions had. H-series: Less housekeeping here, newly dieselized H45 Flatbed is missing performance statistics, I would have probably never noticed the body shape tweaks if I hadn't been told about them but now that I know to look I can tell something is definitely wrong with the side line. D-series: Housekeeping as with Roamer, plus diesel variants of the D35. Sunburst: You all know what I think about this one already and firing up the game didn't change my opinion at all; only the Sport RS doesn't look completely weak and worthless now. The worst part is that the fender flares are still there, but smoothed so much that they might as well not be. On top of which, the visually-flat sides make it look longer than it really is, creating an overall dysmorphic ensemble which is not half the car it used to be. Special: Nothing seems to have changed here except some default colors; all's good in the hood. SBR4: Nothing has changed with the combustion-powered variants, but you will never convince me that the eSBR front end is not a cyberpunk Peugeot. Not sure it quite gets me going, that one... Pigeon: No visible changes, all's good in the hood. Piccolina: See above. old Pessima: Nothing seems to have changed but for some heavy adjustments to variant costs that I just got finished making a list of! new Pessma: See above, possibly minus the cost adjustments. Moonhawk: I suppose the aesthetic changes are fine, but they do definitely alter the overall feel of the car. Miramar: Changes are good, to the extent that I even would have noticed them. LeGran: Again can't see any changes. K-series: See above I-series: See old Pessima Grand Marshal: See new Pessima Covet: Can take or leave the roofline change, nothing else seems to be different. Bolide: Again, what changed here? Barstow: Nothing different but an automatic version of the I6, which I'd file under "housekeeping". 800 Series: Can definitely see the roofline change if you're looking; haven't checked to see if it's still back-heavy. 200BX: No visual changes that I can see. Still mystified by a lot of the aesthetic changes and all I have to go on so far is conjecture from other users... which dev would know why some of this was done? (Also RIP my data transfer; when the inevitable hotfix comes out in a day or two I'm going to have to redownload 4GB of game once again...)
The layer of debris around the Port spawn point on Italy seems to be in weird places, even stacking on top of another layer on the crane.
Weirdly I can get to the main menu for about about 3 seconds before that 0xC0000409 error crashes my game but since Nadeox is looking over my crash reports I am sure it will be fixed eventually Thats in Windowed mode might I add
There's nothing about a crash in your logs. Usually means that's being caused by something outside the game. In fact I can see some some odd .DLL from EVGA Precision trying to hook into the game. Those may be the cause. If you have that program, disable/remove it and try again.
Yesterday I download update about 700 mb, today I wanted to play beam ng but here's another update 1,7 GB. Is that fixes for 0.16?
I am running EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.7 I will shut that down now and its the likely cause since mine is so outdated xD
