Update Speculation thread

If there's one complaint I have with the ESBR is that its literally impossible to set it on fire unless you use the UI. Although since this is the initial release it should come eventually.

 

Unlikely that the Bluebird or Wendover will release on 0.17, there could be another new model (possibly from a brand that hasn't got many cars in their catalogue, like Burnside) added within the game.

 

I hope the Devs might consider a large modern luxury SUV in the future, maybe a big boxy type like the Range Rover now that the 800 series got down-sized.

 

The Bluebuck will most likely release in the next update, since it is confirmed to have been in-game for at least two months now.

 

I know that, but we're not so exact on how much progress has been done on the Bluebuck yet. It is a possibility though that it might be the case.

 

The last of the original list cars we got was the LeGran. The Hopper, Wentward, Piccolina, and eSBR have come out in between those old cars. We are over due for the next one, and we know the Bluebuck is next on that list. Making it 4.5 new cars inbetween the old ones is really pushing it.

 

Figured I should plop this here, some comments on future changes to jbeam and models of some more vehicles.

TLDR: The vehicle model changes made have been a long time coming. Recent changes to 1998 Pessima will be coming to more cars. D-Series/H-Series/Roamer/Grand Marshal will hopefully soon be proper body on frame vehicles where the body can be detached.

 

If I recall correctly, that was one of the first reactions to the Bolide when it was first released

 

i hope we get a in game teaser of the bluebuck soon..

C'mon, the vehicle artists are overworked as it is. 3 whole pixels? How about 2 pixels, in a black & white screenshot.

 

Gabe mentioned the Bluebuck in the 0.16 thread today, so... I guess it's a teaser of sorts...

I was quite surprised that the map upgrades didn't make it into 0.16. IIRC, tdev said they wouldn't be ready for 0.15, and would be coming the "update after". I'm having trouble finding that post now.
