I have a six-lane drag race I've been developing and when I load in all the cars are always facing the wrong way, so I select them and raise them up and bingo they flip to the correct direction that they were saved - SO their direction IS being saved, it's just not being applied on load. I'm sure there must be some reason for this but. . can something be done? PRETTY please!?
It is already done, most spawnpoints in levels are rotated. How are you loading/spawning the vehicles?
I'm referring to non spawn cars. So I load up my level and spawn in. Then beside the spawn are five other cars that I loaded the last time. They're all facing the wrong way, so f11... Select them.. Move them up or over or down whatever.. And they pop back to their initial saved direction.
Oh, that way. Yes, this is a bug indeed. Although you should not have vehicles saved with your level, but should rather spawn them when needed (can do that with a LUA script driven with a trigger box for example) This way they don't unnecessarily gets simulated.
I'm general is agree but I've been doing it for testing ai purposes and it saves lots of time in that manner. Good to know its on a list of bugs though =)
I like how Spintires rotate their vehicles, would love to have something similar. I would only use it when Shift+C then F7 though. --- Post updated --- ONE thing though would be nice, if it saved the adjusted camera when hitting Insert!
We actually fixed that, but rotating a vehicle implies resetting it. Since many people did not want the reset to happen, the change was reverted.
