My PC will litterally not open BeamNG Tech Demo

I don't see anything wrong, maybe try renaming BeamNG.drive.exe to just BeamNG.drive
also try to run as admin
other than that IDK whats wrong

Unfortunately no, if you remove the file extension the file becomes unusable.

Never suggest renaming the games files.

They have those names for a reason

Are you attempting to launch the game from the .exe?

 

Well sometimes the file doesn’t show the actual .exe at the end, which makes its actual name “BeamNG.exe.exe”, my computer doesn’t show the .exe part of executables by default.

 

I know when I had a few issues with the techdemo when I tried to run it, I believe I was missing some sort of audio file, probably similar to the ones Nadeox posted. If it pitches an error message at you (which unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like it is right now), try googling it, and if it’s the same type of issue I encountered you can just download the C++ Redistributable file that you’re missing.

 

No need to continue with this thread as I just bought the game on Steam a few hours ago.

I got it off the humble bundle which is cheaper but steam is good too
