two intakes...?
am i missing something or just dumb?

 

Wait, I might be the dumb one. The fancy intake goes into the turbo-header-thing, and the stock one just goes straight into the engine. So does the turbo not actually need it’s own intake? (This turbo was based on the one from the inline 4)

 

just merge the two or create your own intake- yes the Turbo needs to be the only way air makes it to the engine, or else it wont have any effect on power
you need to probably get rid of the stock intake and just leave nothing there
unless the engine is twin turbo, then just take what you did on the front, merge it onto the back side of the engine, and take both turbo intakes and make the have just one intake
If that makes any sense at all
OH also you need to make the rear turbo connected to the intercooler too- including the front one.

And yes I know, my progress is laughable compared to full models and great mods. But who knows? This may end up going somewhere eventually. It'll take a while.

 

It´s okay. Maybe i just changed it wrong (probably), i will do it again but I think I did it like you said.

 

The point of the turbo is to add pressurized air to the engine. If it isn't connected to the intake manifold, then it isn't really doing anything. Your piping should go turbo intake->turbo->intercooler->engine manifold.
Look at how it works on any of the stock cars. Also, you seem to have 4 exhaust headers on a V6.

Yeah, i’ll definitely do a bit more research as to how engine things actually work (since I really have no idea, besides pistons and compression and things). I basically just modded the I4 turbo to “fit” the engine, which clearly didn’t work...

 

Putting turbos on V angle engines isn't easy, since you have to figure out the ducting to get both exhaust headers connected. Or you can just use twin turbos so you don't have to duct anything .

 

Or use a supercharger, the superior form of forced induction/s
