That looks really fun project! I got again new migraine, lost vision all of sudden, then could not see nothing but flashes, now I can see bit sideways looking, but soon there will be horrible pains and next few days any loud noise or even typing will hurt head, tends to happen late early to late spring, but boy does it suck when you would have lot of things to do.
Did this little sketch/doodle as an idea for a new official Karmann-Ghia-esque car for Beam, thoughts?
So... I've been living in Italy for 30 years now. So many good memories of this country that didn't exactly welcome me with open arms but I still can call home! And this is how I learnt to speak fluent Italian as a little kid:
Dug a pond, found a bike in a ditch, used a bicycle wheel tied to a branch as a pulley, used said pulley to drag a seized lawnmower engine up a tree, and dropped the engine into the pond
To the british is there a way where you can buy a car drive it for 2 weeks and then get it out of the uk? Its because i want to make a holiday over there with lots of driving but i want a rhd car for that so ill have to buy one there because renting a car is way to expensive and costs as much as just buying and ensuring a car normaly
I think it would be quite a bit of effort? Your would need to find a car first, if online, it would be sight unseen, alternatively, you could visit a big dealership and browse what they have, but that is half a day to a day of your trip gone. Then you would need to do all of the prerequisite stuff, such as insuring and taxing the car. I think 6 months is the minimum tax length? Then if you sell (or scrap) it you can claim a refund for each whole month that wasn't required. If you only have 14 days in the uk, is it worth spending 2 of them sorting out the car?
i would want one i would keep as a wintercar here in germany after im finished so it would be worth the time for me at least its not certain how long i will stay there maybe two or 3 weeks and the following 2 years im going to britian too for goodwood and the isle of man so it might be worth it anyway thanks for the info!
Why not buy a car in Germany then? Since it will be used on LHD roads more than RHD roads. --- Post updated --- On second thoughts, is it to do with the super cheap car prices over here?
To be fair cars in the UK are so cheap you can easily get something for <£500 with an MOT and pretty low miles that will need little to no work. Especially smaller cars like the fiesta, polo etc can be had for very little.
While programming today, I ran into a bug with a pointer. The pointer was supposed to point to a colour, however, the colour was no longer there. As such the game was generating "random" colours based upon memory access failures. Had me thinking that could be an interesting feature for an experimental game
Yes it because most of the cars over there cost half of what a beater costs here espacially sportier Models because over in england the insurance is higher and more powerfull cars are defacto cheaper and insurance isnt that expensive here. I saw a few skoda octavia rs and mk4 golf gtis for a 4th of the price so it definatly is worth a thought
