I understand this is offtopic and you are allowed to post this, but it just seems like you are trying to purposefully start a flamewar, as we all know a civil argument about such things is going to be easier said than done on an internet forum. Besides, both Mac and PC hold their own pros and cons and the better one is simply the OS that serves your specific needs the best, entirely subjective.

Macs are PCs. What you should really be asking is Apple VS everything else.

Yeah, these are all innocent comments now, but I can guarantee, within a few days, this is gonna go downhill faster than Miley Cyrus, or like any other controversial thread on here.

Trying to avoid the flame bait here.

My preference is for windows rather than OSX. I still rely on software not available to the Linux ecosystem and sometimes the FOSS alternatives don't cut it for me although I do migrate to those wherever I can.

I just really don't like OSX, there is nothing about it where I can turn around and say "I like that". Sure, there isn't a whole lot I like on windows either but it is slightly more open to letting me do what I want to do than OSX is. I'm not going to pay extra money for a machine with the same specs and an operating system I don't like.

There is 1 apple product I like. Just 1. The Mac mini, although it would immediately have to be setup with Linux or something if I had one. Equivelant windows boxes exist but usually don't beat the Mac mini spec:price ratio bizarrely(for an apple product).

Mac has some cool stuff not going to lie, but it's for women and pretentious fags.

Windows for gaming more support stuff like that. Mac for OS, all though I rarely use it and get mad everytime I do, I know that its because I'm just not used to it but I know its a much better OS.

I chose both, MacBook w/ a 50/50 split HD, Bootcamp (Win 7) and OSX 10.9.

Function over form. Mac looks prettier but Windows is more stable and has far better support.

for me, pc/both (as most people are silly, and don't realize that both windows and macs are under the definition of PC)

why? they both have things i need that the other doesn't, and there both great os's once you know how to use them (mac os is actually a lot easier to learn than people think imo)
