I used auto in another computer running W7 because it didn't cause problem.
However in this computer that running BeamnG, W10 is preinstalled, and by the time I bought this gaming laptop, W7 is no longer purchasable. Forturnately this laptop, although not very beefy and runs hot, is very reliable. It doesn't break down(at least for now) despite suspicious energy comsumption.

    Less off-topic please

Does the game launcher show up?

If no, then you got something that is blocking the game from running correctly.
If you are see the Humble Bundle 'DRM-Free' version, please first make sure you got 0.16.0.2 (latest). Steam will already do that.

Then check that your antivirus or any similar programs you might have is not blocking / messing with the game in any possible way.
Additionally carefully check this list: https://wiki.beamng.com/Incompatible_Third_Party_Software

OK.....OK...… Guys What version of Beam_ng do you suggest to run in windows 10 that will work? I agree with most of you and I truly appreciate all of your help, "everyone".. However it sucks not being able to play with a good game that is filled with loads of FUN.....!!!!!!! Unfortunately microshits web site has this posted for windows 7. "When Windows 7 reaches its End of Life phase on January 14, 2020, Microsoft will stop releasing updates and patches for the operating system. It's likely that it also won't offer help and support if you encounter any problems." So my friends.... I would like some serious help here.. If anyone doubts go here: https://www.techradar.com/how-to/how-to-prepare-for-windows-7-end-of-life
I liked windows 7 and I hate the thoughts of losing it, but unfortunately big corporations want to make money on the new. Even though, windows 7 had all the bugs removed and has a clear running O.S. windows 7 life span is dying.
So someone just please help with giving me some good technical input on my problem.... Thanks.

Disable game mode, set your Antivirus to ignore beamng folders, all those clever protection features might be kicking in, as Nadeox mentioned, something might block the game.

XP is still used in industry, even it life span is dead long ago, but surely many play game in Windows 10 and it works, when you figure out what automated safety feature is blocking the game. It can be that steam was blocked from writing game files to disk by antivirus etc.

Can't remember what it was called, there was some advanced safety thing with Windows defender in Win10 that sometimes caused issues with some games, too long since I read about that and last update I installed was before Windows 10 was even announced so can't check, but you can google 'game does not launch windows 10' and there is lot of stuff to explore.

There is no special version, any version would work fine in Windows 10.
We use Windows 10 ourselves to develop the game.

Your issue, as I said in my post above, is more likely related to something blocking the game from running the game (since you cannot even see the launcher, which is a very basic program).
    Don't miss my post above.

Please notice I: this post will not do much to help the OP, but will add a little info on the OS discussion.
Please notice II: I am the sysadmin for a medium company and an advisor for many smaller ones, so I have the high ground (but no lightsaber)

First and foremost: it is best practice to keep your systems up to date. Critical updates must be installed ASAP, recommended updates should be applied at your earliest convenience, optional updates can be ignored if you do not benefit from the additional functionality. A small fraction of optional updates should not be applied unless they resolve a problem you are experiencing. This subdivision is always outside of the system administrator's control and comes directly from HW and SW manufacturers.
Failure to setup a maintenance schedule for the updates will render your infrastructure non compliant and oftentimes unsupported.

Microsoft decided to "hardcode" the maintenance in systems not managed by an organization. This means the end user does not need to constantly remember to perform maintenance. It also means that since Windows is installed on a lot of different hardware, sometimes something is bound to go wrong. Microsoft's answer to this was a redesign of the hardware specifications, so that drivers will not directly impact the OS core. This process is not yet complete as it involves all manufaturers, so YMMV.

Since the EOL for Win7 is scheduled for early 2020, you must upgrade to a supported OS (assuming you are an average user with average modern use scenarios). Win7 hasn't been sold for many years, so keeping support up is only a big cost in Microsoft view.

The exception to the industry standard are systems that must provide the exact same functionality for many years. Usually dedicated networks are created for these systems, and lack a gateway as it is best practice to isolate them as well as you can. It must be noted that this kind of setup is becoming more and more rare, as many applications shift to web based services (connected to the Internet by definition).
If you want to keep a Win7 system after EOL, you can, but please isolate it from the rest of your infrastructure and from any of your valuable data. I would setup a virtualized host on a DMZ and keep Win7 as a VM. If intended for gaming, just passthrough a graphics card to the VM. Keep backups of the virtual drives as a clean template and before major changes to the VM and you are good to go and can restore in minutes.

For the love of geeky stuff, I'll add that the next release of Win10 should include a sandbox mode that will allow you to run applications in a virtualized environment separated from the installed OS.

Happy gaming, and take good care of your IT infrastructure.
