    Hi,

I think it would be great if cars could limit steering angle on wheels as some games does it.

I mean, for example, Rally cars usually have 540° of rotation, so when using rally cars ingame it would be great that the wheel locks at 540° max.

There's no degrees lock limits depending on wich car you're driving so that means that to match a correct realistic angle depending on the car we're driving, we need to go out the game, lock our steering wheel to the correct degrees, and go back ingame for every different vehicles wich are supposed to have different wheel degrees of rotation.

    Thanks :)

Oh no this is perfectly doable. Many cars have the option in the parts menu >> steering > quick ratio steering.

Also you can set the angle of your wheel, then set the angle in ffb menu.

Also you can adjust the position of the steering wheel prop (if you know a bit of jbeam) if this ever
    might be necessary :)

Also, if you want the game to properly limit your steering, make sure you put the steering angle of your wheel into the FFB settings.

Quick ratio rally steering is what is installed by default to rally cars and that gives you faster steering.

Here is pic from the location mentioned by NOCARGO:

Also you can install power steering from there that I sometimes like to use as modern rally cars have powersteering I believe.

Ok, so I found the steering ratio setup but what I mean is that it doesn't lock the wheel to that range. I mean, wheels stop spinning at some point but I still can turn my wheel, it's not locked by FFB at a certain angle. I use a Thrustmaster TS PC racer. Ingame wheel degrees are correctly setup

I've actually had the same problem a lot, my wheel doesn't stop at wheel lock, it just spins freely past the lock and doesn't do anything.

I think you need to post your ffb settings and wheel settings from control panel, that might help to figure out if there is a bug or something else to improve.

In theory soft lock might do what you have set to be your maximum force, but can't remember how it was for me, I know in a moment as I had plans to drive few cars today :p

What I remember is that with hillclimb Pessima there was small very light FFB at the end of the steering range that did not steer wheels, but it was quite small, might of been my settings and that might become much larger noFFB zone with some other settings.

FFB UI app and video would be something to aim for here I guess, well let's see how my day vanishes faster than I manage to do stuff once again, updating later my findings ;)

For me when going past steering lock there is no change in FFB, with Hillclimb Pessima wheels stop turning so that it appears like 900 degrees of wheel and rest up to 1080 degrees is empty, but no soft lock happens.

But also I don't get zero FFB either, FFB just continues normally, just car's wheels stop turning at some point.

Might be a bug or something, @stenyak might be able to bring light to this bit more.
