(kinda) off topic the website american express has model cars from all brands and manufacturers https://www.american-excellence.com/
This is my first post here so please excuse me if I do something wrong. For a while I used to collect Tomica cars, I also have a ton of other little cars too. You can see my Tomica cars here. The majority of them are Toyota since I like the brand a lot (if my user name doesn’t say that already!) and I also have a few from other brands, mostly Mazda. The others are various JDM cars and there are about 50 of them in total. Unfortunately I am too lazy to get the cars out right now to show you, so the better photos will come at some time later. As for why I stopped collecting them, I don’t know, I think I just got bored. I then got into collecting license plates instead. Does anyone else collect plates or is it just me? Either way, enjoy this terrible image that hardly shows anything:
My haul from September (Apart from the Police Camaro and LTD, the Blue Golf and the Rolls in the background, I got those at a different time) --- Post updated --- Yesterday's haul... 73 cars
I've been looking for one car for a while, a Porsche 944, I have one myself (not model) and have been looking for a scaled down one to pit on my shelf, does anyone have one or know where to get one, preferably in silver?
It depends what scale you want, and where you live. I know for a fact Matchbox made a 1/64 scale 944 Turbo in the 1980's, I myself have one in black which I got from a toy fair here in the UK, so I guess they'd be fairly common, although I'm not sure how common they'd be in the rest of the world. --- Post updated ---
LS Collectibles have done a few 1:18 scale 944s, they’re quite expensive though. I think AutoArt did one or two as well, quite expensive there too. https://www.ls-collectibles.com/en/porsche-944-turbo-s-107 They’ve got a resin 944 Turbo S in silver. But, it’s €150.
I'm in the us, and haven't seen any, but I'll look, thanks for that. --- Post updated --- Im also in the us, so it might cost more, and I'm not looking to spend that much either.
Yes, once every year there's a/the Japanese Cars Meeting I go to with my friends. It's about 300km from where I live and that store is just 10 minutes away from the racetrack where the meet is at, so we stop by there everytime too
Oh. I have a bit of a hard time finding Greenlights anywhere near me (Milan). I generally have to buy them online...
Well, for me it's the only store I've seen yet that sells American and Japanese diecasts. They had a stand two years ago at the Model Expo in Verona, that's how I noticed them. I got models from them on the fair twice and I've been the third time at their store now, it's a little far (I live in Südtirol/Alto Adige), so I buy quite a lot when there's the possibility
