I'm just going to leave this here As hated as stuff like this is, it is a big part of car culture, and I really think a game like this ought to include as many aspects of car culture as reasonably possible (as weird and controversial as some of them are)
Horridly disgusting But since we have the stanced Pessima there should be a donk bluebuck......for destruction purposes. Still waiting on a fully riced 200BX though.
i'm wondering if electric motor thermals will ever come? it seems a bit wrong to add in an official electric car that's hardly any different from the electric mods that we've had. sure, it includes a new shiftlogic that includes not being able to rev in neutral or park, but is that really enough? i want to be able to overheat my motor by pushing current through it when not moving. i want to be able to make an air-cooled motor that might overheat from flooring it too much. or a liquid-cooled one that's unlikely overheat until you bust the radiator. also, electrical energy isn't consumed unless motion occurs? meaning when you floor it with the brakes on, it reads 0kW output and you will never kill the battery (or motor). devs explain?
Electric motors still use combustion engine logic, which is why they produce a near 100% torque at low RPMs regardless of throttle position, and they calculate energy use based on power, so if a motor is not spinning, and therefore not creating any power, it won't draw any power either, even if it is exerting a lot of torque.
Since the Gavril D-series ingame is supposed to be based off a previous generation, is it possible it could receive a pre-facelift version that would allow the model to precede into the 1970's?
What's said on the wiki doesn't mean anything, that's all user edited. We could get a previous and next gen D-Series since the Roamer is based on the next gen and the "D-Series" is based on the previous gen, so the important bits are all already in game. H-Series and Hopper both could see their model years extended with facelifts too. Devs seem to be focusing on adding variety over customization for existing vehicles lately, so probably won't be seeing any of these for a while, if ever.
I'm the one who put it on the wiki. If you had gone to the wiki, you would have noticed that there's a footnote on that little piece of information that links directly to this post by @gabester himself. I'm hoping that we'll eventually see the D-series receive optional parts (grille mostly, but probably also fenders, mirrors and hood) that take it further back into the eighties, and maybe even the very late seventies.
Further explanation here, I did some research, enlarge picture to read the graph curve. I just don't want to write them again and again in replies.
If only it would have a similar ui to the garage selector, thumbnails for each wheel is kind of necessary
As I've said before, the whole thing needs to be redone. Right now we can only wait for the next UI teaser though. Vehicle selector IMO should be more like how it's done at IRL dealerships. Nice photo of the car in the background of the selector page, sidepannel with options for transmission, realistic factory options for interior/exterior colors (other colors on a drop down or something of the sort), for vehicles with simple facelifts like the I-Series and Moonhawk those could be included here too. Parts selector should be more new player friendly, with tool tip explanations of what some things are and how performance will change, and images for at least the parts with a lot of options like rims and steering wheels.
