Hi there everyone. This map looks amazing, and I am currently learning about map making in Assetto Corsa. I am wondering if the author could find a way to convert this and the Mt-Cootha map to Assetto Corsa as I would love to race them in AC! If so I would be happy to Paypal some money to cover the effort. I have been trying to find a way myself to no avail. Thanks
This map may still contain things like trees, bushes, guide-rail textures and other assets from the base game of BeamNG. This would preclude it being converted to another game that's not BeamNG as you'd be in breach of the EULA of THIS game (just as if you used another game's assets or textures here). This also isn't all mesh model-based, it uses terrain, and that might not be supported the same way in Assetto Corsa. There are mesh models of course, for guide rails, signs, trees, things like that, but as a general rule, you won't find it easy to convert a map in proprietary format of one game engine to be converted to another (the exception is, say, taking a map from an old Need for Speed game and putting it into a newer Need For Speed game - or taking a map from Rig of Rods and bringing it here, though the need for speed part still technically violates EULA of the older game). Due to: Copyright on model assets and textures (and sounds, if applicable), and the culmination of those assets making a scene.
This is the coolest map, grown up on Mt glorious, drove it today and randomly saw the video of a vn belting down this today and have to get in on the act. I'm not really into gaming but I'll have a crack at this for sure!
@B25Mitch: Apologies for digging up this thread, but I noticed that the traffic signs on both Mount Glorious and Mount Coot-tha do not render properly since the 0.30 update: If you ever get around to investigating this, I would definitely appreciate it.
