Wise advice sir! You are right...I should have been doing that 2 years ago. I'm a stubborn SOB. --- Post updated --- Plant color good?...bad?
This looks very good but should be slightly more brown if aiming for water starved. If not then the it suffices [GOOD].
Plant color good?...bad? View attachment 121280 Yeah I'm aiming for the coloration of Mesquite which depending on the time of the year varies from bright green to a yellowish/green/brown. Since this is stock ECA deciduous I figure the latter would look better. Bright green in this map looks terrible. I don't want the look to be bland and dead either. Thanks for your input.
Please keep mapping, your Baja hills is great, and you should be making more use of that talent --Cheers!
I don't care that I bumped a million year old thread. This map is great and still works fine, apart from one 100 meter long section of the road with missing texture. I just want more people to know about this great map.
I can't believe this map has held up (reasonably), through all the updates! I will be totally honest in saying I've had version 2 of this map in the oven for 3 years now. I need to figure out how to modify and make .json files stick and learn to get LOD's going in Blender and I then I might just give it another shot. Just need to get focused again.
It is very simple and plain so there weren't a lot of things to break through the updates, which is nice. I still use it from time to time, but once you give it support I feel I'll use it a lot more.
Thanks for the kind words @PolishPetrolhead. I have a few lower key and not as ambitious plans. Something to just clear all the cob webs. A simple restart if you will.
I never had any crashes with this map. Have you tried running it when it's the map is the only mod installed?
