The developers of CryEngine3 are maaad stingy about people using the engine.
Good workaround is just using Amazon Lumberyard, which is amazon's rebranded CE3

    Rock rant ahead:

My favorite rock band used to be Ministry - hell, I still listen to everything up through "From Beer To Eternity." When I heard "Antifa" for the first time, I immediately thought: there's no coming back from this, Jourgensen is finished. What a fucking joke that song is. Whether you agree with the song's message or not, you can't deny that it's really nothing more than "Just One Fix" sped up and with lyrics that the Crackhead in Chief clearly forgot to proofread. (The one good thing about it is the reaction it got - somehow, that worthless, throwaway track managed to rile up all of 4chan! If anything, Uncle Al is the greatest troll in rock history.) If it weren't for that one "song," "AmeriKKKa" might have been a decent album, sort of a Nine Inch Nails-flavored sludge metal fest. Now Paul D'Amour from Tool is joining them - impressive that "Antifa" didn't put him off. Maybe he can save them, who knows. I'm looking forward to their next album.

Ed was one of the first channels I every subscribed to. I took up many hobbies because of him. It was a truly horrific experience laying in bed at 2:30 in the morning on the 29th when bigclive uploaded that vid and I saw it in my subscription feed. I have no words. I'll miss Ed a whole heck of a lot. The rate of suicide among those in the engineering field is beyond alarming. It scares me; I'm not in the best state of mind and I'm trying my damnedness to get an engineering degree. There are many movements for mental health, but none specifically targeted towards engineers or those in a STEM career. It's making me want to start that initiative.

In other, much less depressing news, I prefer my Burnout cars to be thoroughly destroyed...

As much as I love being an engineering student in NYC, I absolutely hate working for a small business in this city. I've never seen a place with officials so actively hostile towards small businesses. There's a reason all of us laughed when DeBlasio announced he's running for president.

I'm bored, so I may as well rant about some of the interactions with the NYPD I've had. I know they are supposed to be respected and NY's finest and all, but I've had nothing but bad experiences with them.

Today I'm unloading the truck for a job, and an officer comes up and starts harassing us that the stuff we were unloading (plywood) had to be cleaned up because it was unsightly. Said we should've unloaded what was underneath the plywood first to minimize the time it was on the street. How he thought that was physically possible, I do not know, but he insisted it was the obvious way to do it.

Another time I was getting some street food and a giant bum (I'm talking over 7 foot tall and each leg wider than me) comes up and starts harrassing me. Telling me to buy him lunch and whatever. I politely say "sorry, don't have enough to spare" and this dude freaks out. Starts yelling at me, saying nasty things, and steps towards me. So I ditch the food, go to the nearby train station, and try to report it to an officer. Takes the guy a good 2mn to notice me as he's too busy talking to some random guy about football or something. The guy finally notices me and I say what happened. The officer asks for a description of the guy. It's 8 oclock at night, dark, I haven't had anything to eat for a good 24 hours, just got chased away from food by Goliath the otherwise generic street bum, and was maybe a week into my freshmen year at university. In other words, I could only really get out the ethnicity and size. Which also perfectly matched up with Officer Uninterested. Needless to say, Officer Uninterested didn't care, mumbled that he'll look into it, and went back to talking to his football friend.

Then there's my favorite. I went up to an officer to ask a question about something, said "Hi, excuse me" and this dude immediately cut me off and went on a pissed off rant about how today's youth are so disrespectful and the proper way to address an officer is "excuse me sir" or "excuse me officer" and not "excuse me, hi" and I disgust him and bla bla bla. I didn't even know how to react to that.

So yeah, New York's finest alright... Totally don't see why the USA in general is so distristful of the police lately. Totally can't see how all of these police brutallity incidents in the news every day could really happen.

Not sure when you took that screenshot, but I'm pretty sure there was another spam bot only a few hours earlier too (although it got removed very quickly)

I just ran the maths, if I were to never pay a penny towards my student loan, by the time it gets wiped after 30 years, my debt would be £876,236.64 assuming that interest rates dont change (which they will ofc).

I must admit, I don't know who actually pays off the loan, if it is the government, I can see why it would be for them. But since it gets completely wiped away after 30 years its not exactly a bad deal for me. I am only required to make repayments if I am earning over £25,275, and it doesn't get recorded on my credit file, so it makes no difference to my ability to get a mortgage etc. So even if the debt was £5million, it would likely make no difference for me.

This graph isn't fully accurate for my situation, but its quite close to accurate

Is there somewhere small print that says some loan fees need to be paid?

Those can be surprisingly high, sometimes interest is much smaller than other fees with the loan.

There usually are three kind of costs with loans, interest, fees and repaying amount, one needs to be very careful to know all those and what terms actually are used.

Basically, student loans in UK are tied into some of the UK legal system. The debt is entirely wiped after 30 years. The repayment amount is a fixed percentage of your income over 25000GBP per year, deducted before income tax - if I earned 27000 and repaid 1000 (you wont, percentage is too small) income tax would be calculated as if I'd only earned 26000. The loan is legally excluded from credit ratings.

However, the loans were illegally sold to another firm who stacked their own interest on it, so what was a tiny interest is now huge, I did the maths. Aljowens chart is optomistic.

You need to earn about 55000 a year just to account for interest piling up, let alone *begin* repayment.

Essentially. The way I look at it, the government paid for me to go to uni, I just have to pay an extra tax for 30 years as a result.

As @SixSixSevenSeven said, it's essentially an education tax that is paid for exclusively by those with a university education.

So you only pay 6% of the difference between £25000 and what you actually earn.

If I were to earn £30k ($38k) in one year, I would have to pay 6% of £5k towards the loan, which would be a total of £300 ($380).

Then, if you don't repay it within 30 years, it is totally wiped and gone.
