So, I'm getting BeamNG rather soon (wednesday) and I want to know what a good fan speed should be. My computer only has a single fan though, due to the fact that it's a Mac. (Yes, it has been bootcamped to run Windows.) I have fan speed control software, so what would be a good speed for BeamNG? Current speed is 1900 RPM. I'd imagine this should be good.

EDIT: Ended up buying BeamNG a day early. The game runs well with medium overall graphics (without vsync) at 3200 x 1800. By well I mean around 36-40 FPS (according to the steam overlay) on Hirochi Raceway. I gotta say, this game has some good optimization if it runs on my average-level PC.

Beam has a habit of getting my CPU over the 75C mark when not much else does, I max my CPU cooler beforehand.

I think that you would be best to set fan to automatic control based on CPU temperature, that way it speeds up if CPU heats up more than excepted. Otherwise you might want it to set at full speed as BeamNG is a stress test for hardware.

My fans adjust by liquid temp and CPU temp, also three GPU fans adjust by GPU temp.

CPU temp is usually something like 30-35C with single car in BeamNG, 40-50C with more cars, but never really above 55C, liquid cooler fans can be around half speed at most, GPU fans tend to be noisiest as that makes a lot of heat compared to CPU and I like GPU to stay below 60C, usually that is 40-55C

    Liquid temp stays under 30C.

Well, I have an Acer Nitro 5, which is a $650 entry-level gaming laptop (and would beat the shit out of your Mac but I digress), and I basically max out both fans so as to not cook my little i5 and 1050.

Being it's a Mac and cools itself about as well as a Soviet desk fan, I'd max them out and enjoy the song of its' people.
