This is due to cache issue. Delete your cache and all will be fine. The issue is that the new version of the mod has modifications to the meshes, and the game keep the previous version in cache, making some parts disappearing. --- Post updated --- No chance for that. Even if you can spot some similarities, it's a different car with a different interior anyway. After the next update i'll take some rest from this mod that could never end otherwise. Always new ideas but calming down is important for me
Yes. By clicking the "download" button in the top right hand corner of your screen. And then download the addon by clicking the big, bolded letters "DOWNLOAD THE ADDON PACK HERE" on the first post, that can be found right here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/american-80s-fullsize-series.44514/
I cant really get it to work because I think the respotory is getting fixed of updated or I don't know how to doo it. I dunno
well it's the same as when you need to download any file for installing a new software or anything. You download the mod with the orange button above if you prefer make it manually, and then you download the addon on the first page, big pink link. Both files need to be in the mods folder in my documents (complete explanation in first page)
The Monte Carlo was a GM A-Body, The mod only has B and C-Bodies, so it would be a mismatch. I doubt that SergentFido would decide make another platform.
delete previous version of the mod, download it again, clear cache. There isn't such issue in the mod currently.
Little improvements guys. Progress is a bit slow as i'm a bit overwhelmed by my freelance work. But i try to progress as much as i can. New details on the Impala : As the car is a low budget variant it was mainly sold with front simple bench seats. As i wanted to add those variants without too much work like modelling new seats, i've added the Delta 88 bench seats to the Caprice parts, and luckily they fit very nicely, without almost any issue to relate : I've also changed the front grill inner section with all the thin chrome lines from highpoly to lowpoly. The grill alone was more than 2500 vertices on Carface's car, so it had to be changed. I've replaced this section by simple polygons, and a new little grill texture with normal maps. Some wip steps : And before/after : This will help performances and also it gives a cleaner rendering especially when car is a bit far. With too many polygons lines there is a lot of aliasing, and with the same thing with textures we get a smoother rendering.
I'm not enough in the knowledge, Sierra-3 will answer this question. I think it's a 1985 Impala but i'm not sure. I'm making progress with his advices and i then do what is possible to me. EDIT : I've just had a look to wikipedia's page for the Impala. As i previously noticed that in Imcdb, which features cars in movies only untill 1985, the Impala was discontinued this year. So this car can only be a 1985 or before.
It's a 1977-1985, the engines were a v6, a couple v8s, and the olds diesel. There also was a coupe and wagon.
it's not from 1977 even if it's the same generation. The shape of those cars changed in 1980 i think, like their Oldsmobile cousins. Look at a 1977 impala, the front end is thicker, more blocky. Same for the Caprice, the Delta 88 and the Regency. Then in 1980 they became thinner. I'll make the wagon available. The Pittsburg Caprice police car can finally become an Impala police car, like in the movie Striking Distance it's refering to
Id like to see a comparison of the Impala and Caprice, they look, the same --- Post updated --- when do you think the wheel pack will be out?
