Your two other posts have been to bump threads that were each six months+ old.... that's not even personal preference, that's common sense. Infractions have been given for less than that. ramosr is not stating personal preference, he's giving you a fair warning...

 

This is true, pointlessly bumping threads can, and have gotten people in trouble.

 

Okay, thank you for the clarification. He seemed abnormally abrasive, is all.

Nah, I was being nice cause you are new here and you might not have known this stuff yet. Just a word to the wise; read the forum rules, and think before you post something. If you want to find out something on an 8 month old thread, private message the OP. That's what I would do.

Well, new to the forums, yes, but not new to BeamNG.drive, and certainly not new to RoR. I've been reading the forums much, much longer than posting. And yes, messaging the OP does seem the best course of action, now that I think about it. >facepalm< However, I am a member on literally 25 or 30 other forums, and none of them are quite that touchy about bumping, especially since this forum has relatively low amounts of content.

Well good thing is: now you know. So best not be bumping old threads or else you just might get castrated by Dr. Fist And yes, we are quite touchy here. But thats only because we at least *try* (i say that somewhat loosely) to keep up a respectable level of respectability on these forums. And remember, BNG is still wicked early alpha. Of course theres not a ton of content. Games in their infancy, especially games that take a steep learning curve to produce content for, often dont have a lot of content early on.

 

Yeah, I understand that. Thanks. And that, and these forums are relatively new, as well. I'm a member of a couple forums dating back to before I was born.
The cool thing is, we are all here because we mutually enjoy the same game. Good day to you sir.

I got an infraction 2-3 days ago for bumping a thread, Kind of a pathetic reason for an infraction. My other infraction atleast had proper purpose.

 

Bumping a year old thread with no contibution isn't a pathetic reason for an infraction, maybe you should stop posting so much pointless stuff...

 

Well, we can politely disagree. Excessively bumping 6 month old threads is bad, but I just did it like, twice. I believe it is pathetic, however, I'll respect it.
