Yeah I don't get the whole "UHH IT NEEDS A NAME FOR REPO" excitement, the name has already been decided so why bother spamming the thread with that when you can instead contribute stuff that is helpful, important and actually matters.
Can you guys just stop with the name suggestions? It's a Ford Fiesta, and the author has already given their choice for the name if this goes to the repo (Gavril Bravo). Putting in suggestions for the already decided name is just filling up this thread with unnecessary replies.
Yes I'm definitely going to do that. Things it needs: - black hood - rust - bad shocks - handbrake doesn't lock wheels - left taillight doesn't work - both interior door handles are broken so it's impossible to get out without rolling down the windows and opening the doors from the outside. - aftermarket left mirror - very rusty and broken right mirror - off center steering wheel - DIY center console
This looks fantastic, I love the meticulous approach to the model with the photogrammetry and all. Which focal length did you use for those blueprint shots? I have a few ideas for models I want to make, and it'd be handy if I could make my own blueprints with my camera.
300mm, it's the best my telephoto lens can do. Generally higher is always better. You just need to be standing really, really far away to make the whole car fit in the picture. Maybe, maybe not
I, for one, would love this. I've been working for the last few months to learn blender and reverse engineer the beam cars to make new parts and update old mods. It's a real PITA especially with the changes made to jbeams over the years. I would love to see a more up-to-date knowledge base and maybe include some issues you ran into and how you got around them? That would be a huge help. Also, here's some info regarding the different trim levels of the MK1 Fiesta. http://www.projectbobcat.com/model-info/fiesta-mk1
Seconded. I'd particularly like to know how people go about modelling the interior, engine, and undercarriage of a car. It shouldn't be too hard to do but I can't figure it out very well without blueprints.
This is great. The XR2 was my first own car in 1992, it was hot. A little mean car, with which one could annoy others well Please make it work.
Omg! These are awesome little cars. If you are doing a beater or rat-look version, may I suggest making it a bit like mine
Nice, it's about time a 1970s compact car got some attention. Are you planning to make the US model with the large bumpers and the FORD text on the grille? Spoiler (Sorry, that is the best rear photo I could find)
Yes But making a car from scratch (3D model/Jbeam/textures…) is way more difficult than making a car with a 3D model from a game (like my RX7) because modeling a car requires a lot of time and making a very good Jbeam too !
