This is one of my favorite Saudi drift videos. I especially like at the very end; tires are nice and hot after a couple runs, nice smoky slide. Looks so fun. Especially arresting the drift by putting it into a violent, but somewhat controlled spin. Shits wild. It'd be nice if whoever edited it hadn't overlaid the music in the video with their own though.
As a Florida man myself, I can confirm that nobody cares. If you want to know what it is like here, the people of Walmart website is a great representation of what passes for normal here
Only took me months to figure out this thing exists. It looks like a Opel Insignia that became extremely disfigured to be honest.
Got brave and did some exploring. Almost didn't make it up a hill at one point and stalled the car for the first time, but overall it was pretty relaxing and the car did great. Spoiler: Full Drive Timelapse Spoiler: Full Drive Unedited
Just seen a video about this car (included below), it looks quite interesting. They are claiming that in the Netherlands (where they are based) you get about 10000km (6200miles) of driving from the solar panels alone each year. If you live in California, double that number. The car is designed with efficiency being the #1 priority. So the battery is 2/3 the size of a Tesla battery, but the car will go much further than a Tesla will on a single charge. Design wise its got some odd features too. No rear windscreen to provide more solar space. They are also running 4 motors (one inside each wheel), which has been done before, but is still an odd choice for a luxury vehicle in regards to ride quality. They seem to think that they have engineered away most of the unsprung mass issues involved with that. Certainly interesting to see what comes of it. Spoiler: video
I agree, I think the wood looks a little unfinished, and I'm not sure it fits with the rest of the interior. Maybe some staining or a different finish would suit it better? idk? The hexagonal fabric is probably a bit too busy for me as well. I think I would prefer it to be the same as the other fabric, but in a different colour.

Perfect. Anyways, on the topic of newly released concepts... https://www.motor1.com/news/356387/bmw-vision-m-next-concept-unveiled/
That looks like a very promising concept, and a beautiful design as well. Cars that can get all or at least a large percentage of their power from the sun would fix pretty much all of the problems I have with electric cars. Imagine charging it up and going for days and days no problem, and worst case is it rains and becomes a regular electric car. With more refinement and increased efficiency of solar panels, refuelling of any kind could become a thing of the past.
Now that makes me rethink about the new Escape... because that definitely deserves to take the Escape's spot now in terms of ugliness.
