This is my Volvo 240 mod, which I know has taken me forever to make, but is finally close to a beta! It is based off of the Bruckell LeGran jbeam, which means it has all the features of that car, including derby/race parts, openable doors, and a large collection of skins! The body and textures are scratch made by the very talented lazercar, (Thank you so much! Without you this mod would not be possible!) as well as Ricky107, (Thank you so much for the wagon model!). I have been working on the jbeam and getting the car in game with the help of CallMeEnrico and blinkerfluid-182, (Thank you guys so much for helping me with bugs that have been plaguing this mod ) Also, huge thanks to alexf557, Beef, Fanged Terror, and kahvi, (and everyone else) for beta testing, and providing images and reference from their 240s, as well as their general knowledge of the car. At this point, the mod is still pretty much just a meshslap of the LeGran, but the model and textures are pretty much done. We have many plans for the car, including a custom jbeam, realistic engines, more derby/rally/race parts, realistic sounds, etc... Again, thank you all so much for everything! You guys have been supportive and patient for so long and have helped me so much with this mod. I'm Very hyped for this, im a huge fan of the 240's if you need a hand i can help! i cant do much but i can learn how to . i just dont want to see this thing sent to the pile of unfinished mods. also please make a version that is volvo and make a knockoff version for the mods page!

I like what i see, hope to see progress! Also I won't pretend I've made any jbeams before or I know what I'm doing, but i know 3D modelling and i know the theory of how to make jbeams, so with a bit of guidance i could help you with that if you see you need it! Also you know the Mark.IV tank mod? well when this gets released i hope i can crash it into the tank and the tank will break, thats how volvos work right? :v
I have made the decision to hand-model anything I can. @MGR 99 gave me some tips on modeling. I have made more progress by hand modeling than modifying a model from some Russian website.
About the engines. The 240 only came with 4 cylinders for the most part (some very rare GLT models had a V6) And a straight 6 cylinder VAG diesel, The D24. No inline 5 cylinders If you need any help with the technical parts, i can help. I dont know anything about modding, but i do know old volvos
Could you make a list of the all of the engine and transmission options? Also for the engines could you put hp, nm, and displacement, (in cc)? If you can't do it thats fine. I still appreciate your advice. Thank you.
Ok. You probably shouldn't make the whole body one part because you would want detachable parts like a hood a trunk and doors. Or maybe it was a body from automation also i could see the polys very well that should not apply to beamng mods --- Post updated --- also are you using the wheels from the https://www.beamng.com/threads/volvo-242-turbo-evolution.10519/ (srry i dont know how to make a link text) you should credit @Ky or i think he's dead

Sure. It depends on the year, and what country it was sold in. Do you just want the most common ones? I could help you make the engines in Automotion if you want. I dont know how to port just the engines over though. Send me a PM and we can go from there
the volvo 240 never had a v6. only the diesel and 264 had a inline 6 and very rare glt had a inline six and. A inline 5 cylinder diesel was also available
