Yes, I like Jonathan Young's content... a lot. I'm into metal covers, which is why I just happen to like a lot of his content as much of his videos are metal covers (other times they're pop punk or rock covers).

When you realise 3.6MB/s is actually 36mbps it's not too bad in the realms of broadband.. But still pretty terrible..
The best part about it is that it causes the AP to throttle heavily. Before you know it, the whole network is at a crawl because it's using all of its resources moving files around. It's hopeless. $200-ish for a transmission rebuild with a shift kit to fix some factory "engineering". Tires are also about $200 for the really cheap stuff. It's not getting any special engine treatment, just an oil change, some Seafoam, and a used idle air control valve.

What's up with the transmission? Trans work isn't very expensive if you do it yourself, especially domestic RWD transmissions. I rebuilt the transmission in my '97 Yukon for about $5-600 all in. $200 for the rebuild kid, $200 for a new torque converter, and $100 for fluid. I'm sure other odds and ends pushed it closer to or above $600. Nothing about it was too challenging, but if you don't want to buy the special tools it'll take some ingenuity. The real bummer is that it only worked for 10k miles before something internal grenaded and stranded me alone on a dirt trail in the middle of nowhere with no phone service.
So the shift kit I'm getting for it isn't a performance shift kit, even though it will firm up shifts a touch. It slips 1st to second shift sometimes and it'll hunt for 3rd sometimes as well. The shift kit fixes that issue as it's a known fault with the A500 transmission family.
I should mention mine was a full rebuild; transmission removed and fully disassembled. Sounds like you're rebuilding the valve body, no? Should be pretty easy. Just put a new valve body in my Mountaineer.
No, it's a full rebuild. All clutches and discs along with valve body rebuild. I'm thinking about doing an engine rebuild as well, but I'm not sure. I'll see what the Seafoam treatment and all of that does for it first.
