Well, I'm bored so I may as well talk about my favorite car to suggest every time in this useless low quality rambling dump of a thread, an early 1930's American vehicle. Not bothering to cite sources here because this isn't exactly an academic piece. This car is the embodiment of many of the things I wish the official vehicle roster: lots and lots of real world car culture, massive customization opportunities, plenty of alternate body styles and even an export version for a country missing in game, and it would be healthy addition for career mode. Vehicles of this era were the transition between motorized buggies and proper cars, but still early enough that there isn't much to them engineering wise. Yet these were early enough that there was some funky options. For example, the 1930's Cadillacs had 7.4L V16's. These were the only V16's in street legal factory vehicles that I know of, which means it's our only chance to see a V16 in game. Meanwhile, the Ford model B had a 3.3L i4 and the Model 18/40 had the flathead V8 (This was the first V8 for the masses). Cadillac's and Lincoln's of this era had a variety of 6-7L V12 engines. A more standard engine options would be a 6 cylinder. In other words, such a car has a wide variety of engine options which are unlike anything currently in game for reasons other than its age. As for body styles, pretty much anything imaginable is fair game. 3/5 window coupe, 2/4 door, sedan, pickup, roadster, cabriolet, phaeton, panel van (image in spoiler below), tow truck (image in spoiler below), etc... A more interesting body to note is the 1934 Model 40 Special Speedster (image in spoiler below). It isn't the most useful or practical to have in game, but it's certainly unique. As for that export version I mentioned, GAZ based their cars off of Ford's at this time, so this is a cheeky way to get a Soviet car in game. That's all I have to say about that. Spoiler: Body Style Images Ford Panel Van Chevy based tow truck 1934 Ford Model 40 Special Speedster Gaz-M1 As for car culture and customization, these sorts of vehicles are iconic of American car culture in multiple genres, as well as having multiple famous appearances. The Beach Boy's 1932 Little Deuce 3 window Ford Coupe, Billy Gibbons' 1933 Ford Eliminator Coupe, Bonnie and Clyde's 1934 Ford sedan, Who Framed Roger Rabbit Toon Patrol car, and the American Graffiti 1932 Ford Coupe just to name some. These cars are associated with the mafia, law enforcement, rat rods/hot rods/mad max cars, and nearly all types of racing. This is also probably the only way we could see an open wheel car officially in game, which is a big deal. Also, although this is more of mod territory, a mini version of one of these could make an adorable legends race car. Customization parts for these in general, well... There isn't really a limit here. 1993 - 2001 Supōtsu Dangan ( Based off the 1997 Mazda RX7 and 1998 Toyota Supra ) "The third generation Dangan is the carrier of the TR901 Rotatory Engine, now with a Fuel Injection system instead of carburetors like the second generation. It's compact engine was well known for keeping the weight of the car down as well as giving it 50/50 weight distribution, however, reliability is not what the TR901 is known for across any generation of the Dangan." Trims: Blown: This Dangan is the result of what happens when you don't take special care of the TR901 engine. It's engine has blown as a result of the apex seals wearing down, which allowed all fuel inside the engine to combust at once, including the fuel still being pumped in by the injectors. The TR901 now barely starts, let alone runs, but when it does run, it will be with constant misfiring and the possibility of the car stalling at the worst moment. TR: The TR Dangan, or Turbo Rotor Dangan, is the base model of the Dangan. Given a 252hp twin rotary TR901 engine and the option of a 4 speed automatic or 5 speed manual transmission, the Dangan was a very competitive car when it came to track days and autocross events. TTR: The TTR Dangan was exactly the same as the TR Dangan, expect it made 261hp and lost 350 pounds in weight. Still given the TR901 engine and the choice of a 4 speed automatic or 5 speed manual transmission, and with the additional choices of a optional spoiler, sunroof, and sport compound tires, the TTR Dangan was the most desired sports car by 12 year olds on forums and weeaboos. SP: The SP Dangan was the best trim available to the public. Given a 276hp TR901S twin rotor engine, a 5 speed manual transmission, sport suspension, sport brakes, and every option available on the TTR Dangan, the SP Dangan was the closest you could get to a street legal race car from Supōtsu. Street tuned: This modified SP Dangan makes 412hp to the rear wheels, has a Roll cage, bucket seats, 5 point racing harness, aftermarket allow 18' wheels, drilled rotors, a 5 speed manual transmission with elongated gears, and a aftermarket body kit complete with a massive spoiler. Do you think you have what it takes to drive this Dangan without winding up in a flaming wreck? GT: The GT is the racing version of the Dangan. Given a 565hp Twin Turbo TR901GT Triple Rotor engine, a 6 speed manual transmission, and a aerodynamic racing body kit with a GT wing, this Rotary powered race car dominated the racing circuit for many years before being outrun by the next generation of GT cars a few years later. 1983 - 1988 Bruckell Relajante (Based off the 1987 Buick Century and Mercury Colony Park Station Wagon) "This station wagon was the king of the cul-de-sac in the 1980s. From the I4 base model to V8 Luxury editions, the Bruckell Relajante is the station wagon you trade in your grandpa's muscle car that you've inherited for after your wife says those 3 tragic- I mean tremendous words." Trims: Worn: This Relajante Woodie has spent the last few decades being abused and poorly maintained by a family who couldn't care less about cars and only view them as appliances. It's worn 3.0L V6 barely starts and only makes 86hp, it's 4 speed automatic only works in Park, Reverse, Neutral, and Second gear, and it's paint job is worn and peeling off the body. Do you want to take this Deathtrap for one last ride or try to fix it up? I'll let you decide. Base: This Relajante comes with a 90hp 2.5L I4, a RWD Drivetrain and a 3 speed automatic transmission. It also comes with the basic essentials; A/C, a Heater, a radio, seats, steering wheel, pedals, etc. KL: The Relajante KL comes with a tuned up 2.5L I4 that makes 100hp and the choice of a 3 or 4 speed automatic transmission. Also comes with optional power seats, power windows, power locks, roof racks, allow hubcaps, and a compass mounted on the dashboard. Woodie: The Woodie is the most popular trim of Relajante, given a 3.0L V6 that makes 110hp and a 4 speed automatic transmission plus all of the options available for the KL and wood trim. Sport: The Relajante Sport is the compromise you and your wife had when discussing the car to get for your family.
