Alrighty everyone. Not a ton of progress on this tbh, been working on IRL stuff but I figured I ought to release it just... because. lol A lot of stuff is still broken, there's files everywhere, and I haven't actually made sure that this file will load properly but... Enjoy
Bravo I just stumbled upon this map today so I didn't get to enjoy the anticipation leading up to the release. I really love the massive variety in the landscape and the unique aesthetics packed into it. As expected with very large detailed maps such as this; the frame rate tends to struggle at times. I found the performance comparable to certain areas of the official Italy map. While I have a capable PC that can handle it, you will likely receive some complaints regarding performance. I wish I could provide some tips regarding optimization but I've never worked with maps before ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I discovered you have a bit of a floating road high in the sky over one corner of the map. Overall, very nicely done! I'll definitely be returning to this map often.

that map is amazing! at first it didnt looked that appealing to me. but when i got it i cant stop using it. i love the idea of hidden vehicles! great job

An update! Mostly redecorating areas and adding more stuff to do around the map. I think I added about 30 ramps scattered around the mountaintop alone. Also widened some of the rally tracks to make them a little less punishing.
More updates! Almost entirely focusing on AI and Traffic. Tons of roads and paths added for the AI vehicles to get around with. Also looking into navmesh but no promises. They even do the super steep Rockface Runs. Albeit they are very heavy on the brakes. lol
Alrighty. I'm focusing on overhauling the festival area. A major overhaul! An actual festival! I plan on adding tons of people to the area as well as some paths for traffic. Also going to model some new tents to break up the monotony of the same two tent styles. I decided to name the area after the decal Dune left: "Thousand Burning Suns" festival grounds. Also enjoy some mediocre drifting! Anyone with ideas for the festival area is free to post them!
are the people 2d or 3d, because if they are 3d i think that will be fps heavy for some people maybe you can add a drifttrack or racetrack made of asphalt

Well. It seems that despite the overwhelming odds, I just couldn't stay away from this joint. Here's hoping I can finish up this poor map. @Fuvos , you've done a man's job sir. You are relieved of your duties. --- Post updated --- Got my work cut out for me. TO DO: (will probably be a lot more..) Fix all 100+ SFX emitters Get some new skyboxes Work on PostFX stuff (this washed out yellow is only temporary... although I might roll with something similar since this is the southwest after all.) Work on the grass Work on the trees (need to change leaf colors)
Yeesh Whatever BeamNG guys changed with the light rendering is really making me work hard to get the environment ambience right. I'm completely overhauling the skybox and matching the skybox to the environment is... yikes --- Post updated --- so not staying like this but: that looks atmospheric af "Welcome to the Valley of Giants" --- Post updated --- and some further tweaking: probably not gonna stay exactly like that but its better than the mess it was --- Post updated --- So this giant empty mountaintop... Will, starting now, be an area known as the Rally of Fire. Because in my maps, if its worth doing - its worth overdoing. Expect this entire peak to be ablaze, with you following soon after <3

One hell of a jump. Hidden one up towards the northeast peak. Work on an asphalt road that cuts through part of the map. Has one big jump you need about 78mph to get over unless you jump to the sides and into the grass. Ends abruptly in a caved in tunnel, where you'll have to yank right and go offroad to get past it. A new quarry area. Perfect for drifting down the entire way (I can't do it though lol) However I also have an announcement. The quarry will be the last area I work on in the map. Why? Because the world editor is breaking apart at the seams. It takes a good two minutes just to open the world editor, and every change/tweak/placement freezes the game for a few seconds. Not to mention, the forest brush editor has completely STB, the objects just won't load anymore, so the quarry won't have any plants like I wanted it to. So... I've done as much as I can, quite literally. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
