Hi there :) I got a new pc and i tried the game just some hours yesterday evening, but it seemed very laggy, expecially when i added another car (so 2 cars in total)

    The specs are the following

    CPU Celeron G1620 (2x 2700MHz)
    GPU Gainward Geforce GTX 650
    M.B. ASRock H61M-VG4
    RAM G.Skill 4 GB DDR3-1333
    HDD WD WD5000AAKX 500GB

Is it normal? I dont want to play with max resolution, but at least low/medium with good fps...

tHANKs you very much, awesome "game" ! ;)

While everything else is ok, that celeron is not up to the task. Even new pentiums merely do ok, and celeron is a sku lower. I would go with an i3 for that socket. Maybe an i5 or pentium though. Quark<atom<celeron<pentium<i3<i5<i7

    celeron...

your cpu is the problem, it's nowhere NEAR powerful enough, everything else is fine though

Thanks you man for the fast answer ;)

Cause i just got it and for now, the biggest upgrade i can do is to pass to 8gb of ram...

i really can't play with this cpu? :)

Are there some "fix" i can use? I dont care so much about enviroment graphic, lights and so on :D

i want just that the car looks with good meshes and crash well :D Mainly, i'm interested in the car ;)

Thanks you man, i'll try everything when i'll be at home ;)

Is there some other "tricks"? I was reading about changing to "basic lighting" in editor, or lower the visible distance :)

I don't know how to lower the view distance (I don't think you can) but the lighting and shading contribute a lot to the lag of the game...

They make crashes more realistic? Make the car with more details? or what? :D

    Thanks again ;)

it just makes the environment look more pretty. it won't downgrade the physics. : )

The shaders and stuff stress your graphics car, which is fine. Do not expect much more until you get a CPU upgrade.

Yeah, the only thing that can reduce the lag is a smaller car with a non-dense Jbeam. Graphics settings will not change anything for you in terms of FPS.

once the race update comes out, that should help a little, and you can use the least intensive car, the pigeon (once the race update comes out that is)

Try downloading this car and see if you get better fps: DSC-Toy-Car
It isn't very realistic though, but you might be able to play the game without lag :D

However, i reached to play really fluently, but as soon as i add another car, it kills everything....

    Is it possible? :D

One car yes, two car no :D

Isn't the celeron single core? There's your problem.

Dual core, non-HT. There's really no way to be able to run two cars effectively without upgrading the CPU. The fact that he can be playable at all with a celeron says something pretty significant about how well this scales across different tiers of hardware. For those curious.

EDIT: Looking at the build again, it seems to be a very budget-conscious gaming system that will perform reasonably well in most games a few years old. (Read: inB4 serious multithreading became the norm.) Good job picking your system, OP.

EDIT2: As for upgrading RAM, 4GB should be fine for now. I'd say get faster RAM (BeamNG loves fast RAM), but your CPU doesn't support it. sooo yeah. More stuff about games & RAM.

You should be able to put a good CPU in it, if you can find one. It should support all 2nd gen (Sandy Bridge) Intel Core series chips, and MAY be able to support 3rd gen (Ivy Bridge) chips with a BIOS flash, but I wouldn't recommend it until you can find out for sure. (On mobile, can't check.)
