Been fighting with this old lady for some time now. Last time ridden about 2 years ago, not sure if it was even started between these years. Didn't run right at all when I woke her up couple weeks ago. Rebuilt the carbs and it got a little better. Today adjusted the points and set the timing. Right point gap was too small and the timing was way early. Runs way better now. Still like no power under 3500rpm and the right cylinder doesn't work right. Right runs a little rich, but has always done that. Sometimes the right cylinder nearly dies. Mostly occurs when trying to accelerate over 60kmh. Suspecting the right side coild/condensator pack is bad. Honda CB450 K5 (I think, I never remember the year) with Velorex sidecar. Dad got the bike around 24 years ago and few years later installed the sidecar. I was on the bike for the first time when I was 8 months old.
Fixed a fuel leak on the Fiesta, return line on the carburetor popped off again. And finally managed to record a video of 'er after 4 years of ownership.
Hit a pothole or whatever on Saturday evening and burst the right front tire. The chances to get any repayment for the damages were rather low when I called the city's road master until he found out that the hole was leftover from city's energy network's work. Didn't get an aswer from them yet but they're getting back to it tomorrow. The hole has been there for most of this year and don't remember it ever having any road signs the whole time.
Going to have to swap out the gearbox on this young fella. After previous owner did 60k miles of city driving, the synchros are a thing of the past.
I chopped all the mufflers off, took the side steps off, and lifted the front. I love it! Before ^ after^ Will get better pics tomorrow, also heres a small sound clip, will get more tomorrow https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/450947796980465664/613560373232140301/video0.mov Looks more "truck" in my opinion. Taller cause i lifted the front to match the height of the rear, also removing the steps makes it looks taller.
Transmission went out in my 09 Crown Vic a few days ago . Luckily I sourced a used 4r75e for $200 locally which is awesome considering this is relatively hard trans to find as only 09+ works. Currently I'm am trying to decide whether she'll be getting a 3200 or 3500 rpm stall torque converter as I'll be doing cams soon. Other than this minor setback she's coming together! So far it has a Ford racing Limited slip diff, 3.73 gears, SCT tuner and custom tune. It has Stainless works longtube headers and heinous billet control arms in it's near future as well.
just discovered Yesterday that my MK4 golf was standing outside with the window open for half a year now. Never had that much water, Plants and animals in a car before.
I had an '09 Vic P71 that the trans went out in. Paid $600 for a used 4r75e. Guess I'm a chump. Managed to break even selling it though, so I'm not stressing. That's a badass crown vic you got there. My '09 was a white patrol car with an open 3.27 that I bought from a rural county in the hills that ragged the shit out of it. I don't miss it a bit.
Not today, but Monday, I traded my F-250 for an '02 Honda S2000. One of 327 in this color combo. Grand Prix White with full red interior. The F-250 needed 4k for injectors and 3k for glow plugs.
so what really happened. I went and checked it out, its 964 dollars in parts for 8 injectors and 8 glow plugs to fit a 6.0 powerstroke, and nothing overly complex in labour.
That is what happened, A diesel shop quoted 2k for injectors, 2k for labor, cab has to come off to do job. I was also quoted 3k for glow plugs with labor.
This is what happened, you got ripped off with that quote. It's not a cab off job, it's a bonnet up job, workshop manuals quote it at a 1h 20 minute repair. The injectors are available off the shelf for 110 dollars a piece. Glow plugs are sold in packs of 4 for 42 bucks. It's also highly highly unlikely that all 8 need doing at once, something any garage worth their salt can diagnose in approximately 10 minutes
I installed a steering stabilizer and fixed some rattles a few days ago and had an oops today Just bent the bumper and a bumper bracket This pic taken before it was done
I changed the starter then washed my truck. Next up: fix an exhaust leak which just started, paint the frame, and fix the holes rotted in the floor.
