This is an idea for a Beamng pseudo Multiplayer Racing tournament. Note: you'd be racing against real people however this would not be in real time. The idea behind the tournament is that if this gains enough interest a sum of players can compete in a racing tournament in which multiple real people can submit times to which they will them be streamed one after another and winners announced. This is in hopes that eventually there will be a large enough audience to alot for prizes to be distributed. The race streams will either be monthly or bi monthly with qualifiers not being streamed however an update on who will be racing will be posted. A large amount of this rests on the poll featured above, if you would like to see a larger scale beamng racing scene in the future I suggest you leave your opinion in the poll. If you have any suggestions for an anti cheat system please leave them below, or if you have suggestions in general I'd love to hear them!
I really want one with no penalties, but instead the tracks are built to give punishments to violators. And very few rules.
that's like not possible with the beamng tracks, it's like no cutting allowed but F1 racing lines would be allowed, few rules nah we need to be sure that u dont cheat with ur setup and the car, actually we r discussing some things in the beamng speedrunning discord, if u have any ideas u could discuss them with us
Maybe it's just me who does not get it, but I don't see in your plan about how we could make sure that people do not restart the race until they get a time they want? Did you mean you want everyone to stream their race? I do love the idea though, and would love to be a part of it.
We have a time where people can try to race for the best time from 2h. After the 2h u submit ur fastest time, we r not sure if when u wreck u can restart, but I think that would happen a lot in 2h and restarting after a wreck or when ur outta fuel isnt a prob
I was thinking you have the two hours to get a laptime you like, say you can restart if you wreck so that it's slightly easier to participate, however you only have that two hours to submit laptimes, the system we're thinking about is releasing a custom skin and config for a car and then starting the timer when it's released.
So things are getting put into motion now and within a week we should have a reasonable ability to start an event in a month or two dates are not set yet
you record a race and then you send it in, then a few days later it will be streamed in succession and then the stream will be updated, you won't know where you placed in the race until you watch the stream
kinda, but there's live commentary and a leaderboard and stuff plus it's all real people and means that you have to actually try
