I just made a deal with some guy at the car show, I'm trading my old D15 in for a bunch of new old stock Bluebuck parts, I may have More than enough parts so if anyone needs anything let me know as I'm more than happy to donate.

 

Me and my dad left early because we still had to get my black POS towed from the side of the road. It was great hanging out with you guys. We'll have to find another car show or cruise night sometime.

I got the Bluebuck dropped off at my house. I'm gonna tear into it tonight and hopefully get the engine out.

So I yanked the front clip off and pulled the valve cover. Sure enough the intake valve on cylinder number 3 was completely gone from beneath the rocker. I found one of the valve keepers under the rocker, which tells me that the "rattle" was probably the valve missing one of the keepers. I decided to work into the night and pull the whole head off to find an obliterated piston 3 and cylinder wall counterpart, along with an incredibly zig-zagged intake valve and a flattened keeper. The head on cylinder 3 was also trashed.

I yanked the engine before the sun set. Sadly, the Bluebuck will be sitting in pieces for a while most likely.

Edit: let me know if anyone has any speed parts (cam, DCOE carbs, headers, forged pistons, rods, or crank, etc) for a Gavril Big Block (either a 353 or 423, they're the same block with a slightly different bore)

 

All these cars are real cool. I still need a crappy beater, so if anyone has some cars in bad shape I'll take it

 

A friend of mine is selling his rusted out D15 for $800. I can send you a picture if you want.
