Okay so this is just a suggestion but since I use multiseat alot I am finding alot of annoying problems that I'm hoping can be polished up and some extra suggestions for it. So first things first, when I finally get both cars into the game with the correct player tag and controller, when I want to change player 2's car, I switch over to his car pressing tab, find a new car and hit replace current, now hes player 1 so o have to switch back to my car and press ctrl r, but now both of our controllers are controlling my car and same goes for if I hit tab and there is no controller assigned to the player 2 so I would normally fix this by just turning off and on multiseat but its sorta a hassle having to do that everytime the other player wants to change a car. Next this is a suggestion, so for multiseat you should make it a whole lot easier to use like be able to select which cars are players and which ones are ai instead of doing this weird tab and press ctrl r to select which player is which so we can have the traffic turned on as we do multiseat so the camera doesnt zoom all the way out, same goes for props, they shouldn't be ever counted as players. Last suggestion, this is not really based on multiseat this is just a suggestion for another game mechanic. So for the bus route thing there should be an option to check and uncheck if you want traffic so we can have the ability to have traffic during the bus routes. That's it hope you liked my suggestions and pardon my French this was typed on my phone.
"pardon my french" whole thing in english hahahaha is ok. Honestly, ive had the same issues here. Multiseat is fun but i feel as if its been somewhat rushed back when it was released. its pretty basic and pretty bare bones. It would be fun if you guys would maybe make a ui app to control the multi seat features. Be able to select which car is controlled by which controller and which car is controlled by ai if there is any. Also, make the camera follow only the player controlled vehicles and not every vehicle in the map... its impossible to play multiseat with ai cars... (split screen would be so much better ) On a side note. Whats so difficult having split screen? having to render twice? What if the game is optimized enough for it. Id love to see it even tho it most likely will never happen. We wont know how well it runs in split screen if we never try.
We understand the difficulties in multi-computer multiplayer, the internet speed is well below the physics calculation, even LAN speed is too slow. Split screen is theoretically pratical because all physics are calculated in one computer. It just need to render two screen
From a performance perspective, is there a difference between split screen and VR? Aside from VR requiring a minimum FPS so the user doesn't get sick...
