Outdated 6.0L and 6.7L Diesel for D-Series 1.8 patch, for game 0.19

why... we on 12.0.3 now I'm guessing.... Typically I don't launch steam unless i know major updates are out. I'll have to update later today.. wasn't aware of that 3rd hot fix.

Great mod, enjoy it very much. Any chance of a diesel interior for the roamer too? It would finish off my latest build beautifully

 

Glad to hear! Thanks! So no, it was not on my list of things to do... I spending way too much time trying to figure out the diesel range rpm gauge for the d-series.. which involved many more needed pieces to get working then i thought.. including dealing with blender...

 

I didn't realise there was that much work involved, fair enough

 

Good mod, although there is another mod with a 6.4 V8 diesel which is cool. I suppose an idea would be to make a small capacity diesel, maybe a 3.6 V8 (like i did).
If you want i can fix up that mod and then you could merge them into one big diesel mega-mod
(i also tried with blender for rpm gauge etc. but i gave up, a bit too much work when you can just imagine the gauge is red )
Sounds are quite good, but compared to that V8 diesel, it does sound a bit flat, like a straight six would sound.
I suggest you download and try out the mod, and then maybe play about with the sounds.

O cool. you didn't make this mod right... this mod above^^ is good. lots of options... feels realistic.. Like the sounds better then mine.

Hey, I know its a bump, and IK you prob wont update it but im still putting it out there for anyone else having this problem. This mod breaks the D-Series lights (maybe more) in 0.17

 

i am having the same tail light texture problem

 

Narrrowed the missing texture problem down to the diesel interior. No idea why.. I've uploaded a file here with the diesel interior stuff simply removed for the time being. Please nobody get mad.. I take no credit for fluffy's work. It's simply a workaround to keep the ability to use these fantastic engines while not having to deal with the broken textures.

 

Thanks for putting out a work around for others. I haven't played beam for awhile, typically I get on and test right after a new game update, but been busy lately.

 

I know this is VERY old at this point. But there is any chance of it being updated for the new D-Series rework? The most still does work for the most part but there is not compatible exhausts, The diesel fuel tank explodes and the diesel interior doesn't work.

 

I may actually. Already fixed most things up to this 0.19 release version.

-Exhaust is fixed.
-Fuel tank fixed. Was a fun bug though
-Now using new/correct engine mesh.
-Differentials configured/show up in menu's like original vehicles do now.
-Fixed missing and incorrect parts for default configs in d-series menu.
-I'm sure there was others

I can't seem to get my interior with the diesel tach to work still, lost on that one :/ May just release without it.
