Help! Game is lagging

So I just got Beamng drive, and the maximum the game is playing is at 12 fps on GRIDMAP and on the LOWEST graphics, and if I am playing a map with nature the game either plays at 7 fps or just crashes. And its not like I have bad specs or anything. I have
16 gb ram
1 gb video ram
Windows 10
Intel(R) Core (TM) i5-4590 CPU 3.30 GHz
Any suggestions on why it might lag?

 

Laptop? Check battery settings.

Check task manager and see if there's a lot of background apps open which drains resources.

What is your GPU exactly?

 

1. is performance loss happening only on beam?
2. is there an fps cap on beam, geforce experience, monitor settings, or anywhere?
3. 1gb of video ram is pretty low but it shouldnt be 12 fps on lowest
4. try clearing cache, reinstalling game, or running safe mode,

Well, you have a very weak GPU, I recommend upgrading.

But I still don't think It should be playing at 12 fps on grid and 7 on any other map

 

Well, my the laptop I previously used had an 750 2GB in it and I had like max. 30 FPS. and your PC specs looks fine, except for GPU.
