my laptop has a amd gpu and a i gpu.. the amd one isnt used til any apps (that i whitelisted) are running.. so the game only sees the igpu.. the game actually uses the amd gpu but the little error is a bit annoying.. is there a way to permamently disable it?

It you see that warning, it means that the game is more likely using the iGPU still.
You can double check what GPU is being used from the HELP > PERFORMANCE menu.

I have the same issue on my laptop. The game says I'm using the Intel integrated graphics but my Nvidia indicator in the taskbar says my dgpu is running Beamng

    Hey guys, please check this:

    http://wiki.beamng.com/Dedicated_Graphics

It's not the game that decides what Graphics Card to use, but the Graphics Card drivers. It is possible that an update reset the options in your Nvidia Control Panel, and that you need to re-add the correct .exe there.

Also, if you are on a laptop then make sure you have your charger plugged in. Many laptops are configured to not use the Dedicated Card unless the charger is plugged in.
Another thing is to make sure that your power-plan is set to High-Performance, not ECO or "Low Power" of any sort.

    Cheers
