Do you other people think it would be more useful that way? The reason I decided on the current way was I figured I would try to order the CPUs by model... If more people agree with this, I would be glad to reorganize all the data (though that might take some time).
I would like it sorted, but from high to low. I might be able to find a guy that will be able to create a website to put a list on and have it sortable lots of different ways.
Okay, now the promised values of my 4770k But first: I think this is a great thread when looking forward to upcoming Updates, we might be able to see how well those update with scale with the different CPUs, and I think it will also be usefull for the Devs to get performance informations from a lot of different CPUs Intel i7 4770k @ Stock (3,5Ghz) Physics on/off D-SERIES 1 - 290 | 833 2 - 150 | 591 3 - 99 | 440 4 - 74| 339 5 - 55 | 273 6 - 26 | 230 7 - 20 | 195 8 - 18 | 163 9 - 16 | 150 10 - 14 | 131 Moonhawk 1 - 233 | 788 2 - 117 | 481 3 - 67 | 341 4 - 36| 255 5 - 22 | 199 6 - 17 | 157 7 - 14 | 133 8 - 13 | 118 9 - 11 | 103 10 - 11 | 95 Ibishu 1 - 282 | 950 2 - 152 | 626 3 - 103 | 464 4 - 76| 369 5 - 56 | 305 6 - 30 | 261 7 - 21 | 212 8 - 19 | 176 9 - 17 | 155 10 - 15 | 135
In my original post I stated the 2600k was at 4.4ghz but my CPU was actually at the stock 3.4ghz. My profiles in the BIOS had reset for some reason. Sorry about that, can you please amend the post, thanks.
thanks for letting me know, sure - - - Updated - - - its funny how the 3770k gets comparable performance when it's clocked 1GHz higher
Yeah, the step between those two is not very big, if I would own a 3770k I would not even think about upgrading to the 4770k. Unfortunately my CPU does not overclock very well, tried it just after posting the stock clocks but I barely hit 4.2Ghz without getting problems in stability. But when it was running at 4.2 I could get 4-5 FPS more with 6 Moonhawks (Was the only test I made)

Hi everyone . My name's Pawel and I like cars . Since it's my first post on this forum I wanted it to be a bit more useful than if I simply introduced myself. So, without further ado, here are my results. I couldn't see any entries AMD K10 architecture apart from dual core entry model (Athlon II X2) so let's see how does a previous generation CPU it stack up against modern ones. AMD Phenom II X6 1100T @4.0 GHz (& Radeon HD7970 3GB if means anything in this test)

D-15 ON OFF Covet ON OFF Mhawk ON OFF

1 150 345 1 145 355 1 125 314

2 92 250 2 84 260 2 73 214

3 65 199 3 58 208 3 50 160

4 49 166 4 45 171 4 22 125

5 23 136 5 23 143 5 17 104

6 19 119 6 20 123 6 14 88

7 16 99 7 17 108 7 11 76

8 15 89 8 16 93 8 10 66

9 13 79 9 14 82 9 9 60

10 12 73 10 12 75 10 8 53

(I found mrniz666's table from the first page to be very clear and convenient so I decided to re-use it, I hope he won't mind) I guess that's not bad for a four-year old CPU on a six-year-old MoBo with DDR2 RAM, especially when you compare it to similarly clocked 'contemporary' AMD FX. The game uses four cores plus the other two half-time, that's a good sign. The way I see it, currently there is no configuration that would handle this game with more than four cars (on a proper map in an AI race scenario) as most CPUs get a major blow above that number. Either further development of the game will improve performance or we have to wait for more powerful hardware. Oh and by the way, funny thing, when I make the game go fullscreen the results go up by ~10%. Probably because the 'aero' interface isn't displayed. Anyways, the example settings say 'fullscreen off' so I did just that.
It's interesting to see how the Intel i5 4670k @ 4.2 GHz performs against the 3770k and 4770k. It's very fast when looking at 1-4 cars. But as soon as the number of cars overcoms the number of cores, the hyperthreading of the i7s is able to keep the FPS higher than the OC'd i5 . Now I am very curios how my 4770k will perform Overclocked. I will test that today, just because im interested. EDIT: I did only test the D-Series at 4.2 with my 4770k to compare it with the stock clocks Intel i7 4770k @ Stock (3,5Ghz) vs 4.2Ghz Physics on/off D-SERIES 1 - 290 | 833 | | | 323 | 1000 2 - 150 | 591 | | | 170 | 680 3 - 99 | 440 | | | 114 | 514 4 - 74| 339 | | | 86 | 417 5 - 55 | 273 | | | 65 | 342 6 - 26 | 230 | | | 48 | 300 <-- Looks like something went wrong earlier at stock clock. An increase from 26 to 48 is nearly 100% . "Do it" - Palpatine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VdQ6oMzV2U - - - Updated - - - it looks like, from the other data, that when the number of cars is too high for the processor, the FPS drops to ~20s and then gets steadily lower. Perhaps overclocking gave it that little push to handle one more car before the FPS dropped?
Might also be possbile, but anyway, I am still kind of impressed that overclocking really makes a difference here. But I think my CPU will stay running at stock clocks, ist fast enough for the moment
Ish. I have a good voltage, but my temps are a bit high. Running 4.3Ghz at 1.27v, but could be lower. I'll be able to bench today or this weekend. Need a dvi cable first though. - - - Updated - - - I am back up! Rocking a CC too. (Case leaks a bit of light.) I'll get to benching! EDIT: Oof. I need a better camera. Phone=potato. Doesn't do it justice.
whoa that looks great! but to be honest im not a big fan of blue LEDs , i like white though --oh thats the source case too!
It looks like I will be benching at 4.3 and 4.1. 4.3 runs at too high of a voltage to keep cool for daily use IMO, even with the rather large t40. Too much heat in the case and bad thermal compound under the IHS don't work well together.
regarding the case heat, would keeping the door off help? also at one point when i was folding i pulled my case away from my desk as far as the cables would let me, it lowered my temps about 20C, being against the wall and with the desk above it i think hindered the ariflow --of course that would be temporary, not a permanent solution
I'm still solidifying my OC. I've got my CPU cooler mounted facing down to the GPU, taking air in from the top. There is then a fan in the side panel that takes that air out and warms my feet.
