I am one lucky man, because back in high school I owned one of the greatest cars to ever exist, the 1983 Chevy Camaro Z28. Despite what some people say I've always loved 3rd gens, great looking, and great potential. I bought it form a salvage yard near my house for around $600. It was in good condition, well... OK condition. It was all original with the "High Output" 5.0L 305 V8. I bought it with the intention of it making a nice project car, however things didn't work out to well, so I eventually sold It back to the salvage yard for around what I bought it for. The engine was pretty warn out so it lacked power but handled the turns way better then I expected. It was relatively rust free, for a northern mid west car that is a miracle. I really liked the car but I lacked funds and It really wasn't practical. So that is why I sold it. The great thing is it apparently was never scraped or even parted out. One of the employees got the car registered and last I knew he has been driving it around. Great car, but maybe not great for a first car. Since then I've been saving my money and driving my parents 94 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, however this year I plan on purchasing a project car If a good one that fits the budget comes up. I'll take just about anything I can get, but If I come across a nice 3rd gen I will strongly consider it. I took good care of the car, somehow never wreaked it . It was in better condition when I sold it then how it was when I bought it. I hope these cars continue to receive more respect. Not everyone can afford a rust free 69 Camaro, so until 3d printing cars becomes cheap, many of us will have to settle for cars like 3rd gen F-bodys and Fox Body Mustangs. However with some work, these cars can be awesome. So please show some respect for the 80's "muscle" cars. (and after writing this I see that the above poster has a 69 Camaro lololol. nice car BTW) This is not a picture of my car, however mine was nearly identical to the one below, except mine had faded paint. Yea, they really are great cars. There was a super nice Iroc-Z for sale about 3 miles from me. 305 with a 5 speed, fire engine red. Why I didn't buy it, I will never know.
Nice, IROC's are great, but 350's are the best. I heard recently that a 89 Turbo TRANS AM sold for like 40K at auction. Proof that these cars are become collectible. Of course they didn't make very many T T/A's so they are quite rare and the one that sold was in very good condition.
Probably cause they just dont exist anymore. Mine needs new fenders, quarters, tailpan, rocker panels, already replaced the trunk, new front subframe would be nice, new upper and lower valance, trunk lid, hood shinies, and tranny tunnel, but only cause its been beat up a bunch. Oh did i mention the $1800 i need to put the interior back to original? (Goddamn deluxe houndstooth. WHY MUST YOU BE SO PRETTY) somehow my floors are still solid though. Ill get around to posting the pics of the trunk i did. I think it looks good. :3 And maybe my fancy new 12 bolt. (It came with one, but the first owner killed it (idek how you kill a 12 bolt ) so the second owner threw in a 10 bolt, and now i found an old 12 bolt from a crashed 69, and its back how it should be, 3.73 posi and all.) Oh and +1 to third gens being awesome. I had a red 88 2 years ago, put in tubs, a 4 link and a 502, and tada, made 6k off the car, all in all. (bought for $100 from a friend after his motor blew, but about 10k in it makin it run 11's and sold it for 15k. The other $1000 came from a kid that thought his daddys Z06 was quick. ;3)
Weight reduction: Actually just a headunit change of course. But annoyingly blown a fuse. I am not installing the new headunit properly until that fuse is swapped and I can ensure everything is functional (it was before the fuse blew but I still prefer to play it safe).
there was another empty just out of shot, 3 more across the back seats and a full one in the drivers side pocket
Sounds like someone has got an addiction! Just make sure they won't try to assasinate you. One time a flashlight rolled under my brake pedal, scared the sh*t out of me. Luckily I still had plenty of time to get it out of there, otherwise it could've ended badly!
I've had a bottle under the clutch, since then taken some care to ensure wherever they're dumped they can't get in the drivers foot well. My flashlight goes in the glovebox
You wanna fite about it faget? Earlier today in a church parking lot. Went wide open a few times but not really enough room to go very fast. She's and auto, but you can lock it in 1st or 2nd to emulate a manual. Did that a few times also. I sound really gay in this video. Ignore that. I bet clark can guess where this is. Also my video:
I spy the familiar panels of an 05 corsa. After inheriting some money from a relative around Christmas, I own the first car I actually wanted to own. Enter stage right, the 1980 porsche 911 SC. Hopefully the price will rise enough to make it worthwhile seeing as at the moment I am limited to our roads and fields (impossible to insure) Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
i just drive this piece of crap: (imported from here) nah, i kid, i kid. i can only dream of driving such a vehicle. HOWEVER i do drive this: (imported from here) a 2013 Cadillac XTS. i saw an empty spot next to a Range Rover Evoque, and i thought it would make for a good shot. pardon the phone quality, my S3 was dead.
Young driver, insurance already costs a hideous amount for young drivers in the UK to the point that you get a car worth a bit of money and they flat out refuse to insure you sometimes. That is my guess. 04 corsa C actually, they introduced the corsa D for the 05 model year with a different interior. Regardless, the hole is now filled Huh, that picture was saved upright on my PC, so why its sideways in BeamNG I have no idea
