    Hi!
I’ll try to make this as straight forward as I can. The devs were working on a dyno in 2016 and they managed to make a functioning model but unfortunately it isnt available in the game anymore.
I’d like you to help me convince the devs to start working on it again.
Here’s a link to my petition. If you sign it you make it more possible for the devs to bring it back.

Thanks for all of you who signed this petition. It means a lot to me. View attachment 585618

There is noting to bring "back". The dyno was a failed experiment and never published. It simply did not work.

Even without the function to measure power I think a rolling road would be a nice addition to stress test cars

It's sadly not so easy. It had clipping problems and alike. We might revisit this in the future, when some required features are existing :)

I understand things are not as easy as they appear on the surface, thanks for the response :)

Well at the speeds they operate at I can see how that could end up being an issue. I suppose someone could kinda "cheat" one in right now by just making the rolling road one solid model (no JBeam) and then setting the rollers coefficient of friction to something similar to ice. That would solve the clipping issue... but then create a host of other ones.

That being said though... a hub dyno might be doable with some cheeky mechanics... I might try something like that one of these days.

If you want, you can try to "simulate" a stress test with the hamster wheel : you put the car in the wheel, attach it with the nodegrabber to prevent the car from moving, and then you can just go full throttle and see your car overheat and scream at 250km/h :D (in my screenshot i used a super radiator to avoid overheat)

Thanks, I have tried this before but didn't consider using the node grabber to lock the car in place, definitely something for me to try soon!
