    If your car happens to fly over those bushes you'll be launched 5/10 meters away as they have a slingshot effect.

    Also the tree branch clipping with collisions through the bridge near the country gas station is still there.

    Gridmap thumbnails need updating. The drag tarmac isn't there on the thumbnail. See attached.

    One thing I've noticed in this update is that the AI seem to have lost their aggression when in random. This is a shame because I love doing AI races but it seems now that they are too cautious, especially when starting out. Kind of wish there was a setting for the old AI, where they would more blindly follow the route no matter what was in front of them.

    Also, traffic seams to emit black smoke (the same black smoke when you start the older vehicle) when you approach them quickly. Not a priority though.

    West Coast USA has a bug with the asphalt variation 01 and 02 graphics in the main.materals file. It has transferred from the 0.16.x materials.cs file where the bug looks like the attached file (screen grab below of original materials file from 0.16.x). The "material name" and "map to" are the same (copied, obviously) for the following entries in art/roads/main.materials.json file:
    asphalt_variation_01
    asphalt_variation_02
    When the automatic conversion process of the editor converted it from materials.cs format to main.materials.json format, it hit the asphalt_variation (identical named) entries, and on the 2nd one, over-wrote the first. I don't think this is intentional by any rate, as there's asphalt_variation_01_d and asphalt_variation_02_d in the art/roads folder.
    The single entry for asphalt_variation_01 links to asphalt_variation_02_d oddly but is named for 01. It's near the top of the file.
    If this is intentional, please dis-regard, but the original materials.cs would have thrown an error on re-declare in console the way it sat.

    Just happened to see this when I was looking to snag some variation / wear textures for the industrial district in my new city - why re-invent the wheel, right?
    I didn't happen to see both entries in the new main.materials.json. It just looks like the name wasn't updated to 02 in the materials.cs when it was copy-pasted from 01, causing this.
    A no-texture might not appear because the default is 100% translucent in some instances (which is better than bright orange if you ask me).

    Only screen-grabbed the old materials.cs as this is easier to 'see' and 'read' (I'm not crazy about the new main.materials format -if only because it's much harder when speed-reading to bug check visually).
    Just let me know if I'm mistaken here, as it could have been outmoded late in production.

    Hirochi Sunburst Sport RS has bad fitting plastic parts after 0.16 facelift. (used safe mod)

    I told before i have to activate mods each time i'm loading the game. And now i can't download mods from the repo.

    EDIT: Fixed in 0.17.1


    In 0.17, the Hillclimb SBR4 has lower turbo pressure than the AWD TTS2, which is not right

    Thank you and I found the problem and your bet is wrong ;).
    In the past versions I set Sport RS as my default vehicle. And game keeps the old parts on the car (did you left the old files/parts in game for mods compatibility?). When I respawn the car with ctrl+e menu it works perfectly. So I deleted documents/beamng/settings/default.pc and make sunburst default vehicle in game again. It works now. Thank you.

    Ok. I find a solution by myself. If you have unpacked mods and inside them, you have zip archives your mods manager will be broken and will not work correctly.

    The ETK-i has an artifact on the windshield mesh. Looks like a sticker or something. Confirmed on two different machines with no mods installed. I'll grab a screenshot if needed.

    I've been eager for traffic in-game since when I was still playing RoR & BeamNG was still alpha.. around 2012 or so.. Always curiously followed development of BeamNG and it's finally here. I don't know why traffic's such a big deal for me - but I'm really excited it's finally in game. Makes the athmosphere in the levels more rich and 'real'.

    Together with all the improvements, 0.17 has been a major update for me. Well done guys. Kudos.

    This might be a minor complaint from my wiki editing side here Devs....

    Can I ask the devs to expand the information in the game files about the new Gavril Grand Marshal please because its EXTREMELY incomplete, I need to update the performance comparison table soon, but since there is Zero file information could you get me the new json files with more details in there please that would be a very big help :)
