So, when i launch in safe mode, i can no longer go and enable any mods, they just seem to not show up at all. I used this for making mods, so that my mod im working on was the only active one, to assure it wasnt getting messed up by anything. But now i cant seem to get any mods to show up to activate them. Is there a reason this feature was taken out? It was quite handy...

Safe Mode is meant to only load the game content, no user files are loaded. This is meant to help you understand if the issue you are having with the game is related to the game itself, or modifications.
The way you were using Safe Mode is not the way it's meant to be used.
For your scope, please disable the others mods from the Mod Manager instead.

So far Safe Mode had only disabled mods, but that missed eventual modification you could have in the levels/vehicles folder, or broken settings files.
In 0.17.1.0 Safe Mode avoids your user folder completely, and uses a temporary folder instead, to ensure that no user files are loaded at all.

I see, I guess I just relied on the old system, thats alright tho, its easy to just move all the other mods out of my folder temporarily. Thanks for the explanation!

That's unfortunate as I used safe mode the same way @sjbphoto did. It was really useful to ensure any issues I had with my own personal mods weren't a result of my other mods. :p

I guess I'll have to deactivate my mods manually, which isn't really an issue. The issue for me is having to re-activate the mods, as re-activating any mod causes my game to freeze from 30 seconds to a minute each time. It's also inconvenient as I can't just 'activate all' as I only have approximately 40 out of my 70 mods activated...

Just a change I will have to get used to I guess :p

Yeah i used it that way too, was a nice way to quickly test one or two mods on their own without having to manually enable and disable mods. Maybe a "Test Mode" or something like that could be made in the esque of the old safe mode? @Nadeox1 Where you could launch it in there with mods automatically all disabled, and then go in and manually enable certain mods to test them?
