That's the plan thanks! --- Post updated --- It's coming, it's coming lol thx, it's supposed to be radial machined alu --- Post updated --- Certainly interesting --- Post updated --- cause of the headlights
Absolutely. Cause this thing will be fast. And if anyone knows how to help with the motor texture... please answer here :/ https://www.beamng.com/threads/problem-with-mod-file-structure-miramar-textures.65545/#post-1069781
Not a lot of modelling progress today (some switches on the interior plus lighting for the driver and the passenger), but I have the electric version working decently, with jbeam modified to make sense. However this is done in a lazy way with the electric motor plugged straight into the transmission which is still the Miramatic 2 spd, as seen in the video above (it works great tho). The batteries are just thrown into the place which was previously occupied by the fuel tank. In jbeam I just modified the node weight with the weight of the eSBR batteries, to give myself an idea of the weight the car would have. In this picture: standard 1.6 miramar / 1.6 miramar with battery instead of fuel tank / miramar with electric battery and electric motor it's not too bad actually But I plan to make a proper electric version with the batteries flat on the bottom on the car and the car will then have a flat floor. There would be front and rear motors so there would be a choice between FWD/AWD/RWD. Now, here is a thing. Electric motors would allow for an awesome suspension set up and very good handling, but those could not be shared with the ICE. It would be an entirely different frame, although the exterior and interior would be shared. From this month on I will have very little time for mod making (as Im starting uni + job - if I have not finished by October, don't expect it till February...) so I will have to make a choice on what to develop, or at least what to develop first. So I ask you, what would you rather see first: electric or standard combustion powered modern miramar? (Poll in thread) As for the process of getting the car ingame, I'm really close to finishing the interior and once that is done I will start porting the car to beam. this will take long too because I will have to do a lot of cleaning, simplifying and retopo. not to mention texturing, which will come after importing the mesh and adjusting the jbeam. But im still motivated
I'd prefer to see the ICE version before the electric version. It would just feel right for the car that it is.
i still can't get over how good this thing looks! im loving the progress, so hyped for eventual release
Glad you like it Rear panels done. Left: gauge textures, upholstery, seatbelts, sunvisors and some other things I can't remember right now
