I think it was because it would complicate the UV mapping, being asymmetrical. That was before the asymmetrical Wentward was added to the game though...

let's appreciate how well listening to a community works when designing a tribute to an old car
(take note bmw/toyota & land rover)

This looks really really awesome:D! Keep up the good work!

Just an idea for rims, maybe something with Miramar written on the side like in the attached picture of the Skoda Vision iV?

Donut worry I am not forgetting about this. However I started uni this week and that involved moving to a new appartment, which means a lot of work specially at first. I have some very minor progress though and tomorrow I will likely have something that can be shown :) I will postpone getting the interior absolutely completely finished till next weekend when i can meet up with my friend and interior design chief, but will hopefully start getting the frame and exterior ingame before that.

About the fuel cap, you absolutely got me on that hahaha, i forgot. but it will be added :) and on the topic of rims, i have a ton of sketches in my sketchbook, waiting to be modeled, some of them inspired on what you guys posted. hopefully i will be able to make them soon, i just dont want to distract myself with stuff that is not yet strictly necessary, else i will never finish heheh...

He is still modelling. Although he has been working on the basic jbeam for electric motors afaik.

Basically iirc it's going to be a heavily modified Miramar jbeam.

What is the polycount? The model looks quite highpoly, imo

It's slightly on the hi-poly side, although overall it's not too bad.

I haven't checked and I don't wanna bother lol. Currently the interior us super high-poly, but bear in mind it's in the design phase. The process involves to make things first in whatever poly count they need, and then remake them using textures and normal maps but with the minimum poly count. Basically most of the details right now are modelled, and I will transform those into textures applied to low poly models. Aka your usual high to low poly makeover for games. It will not look as good as it does now, but hopefully it will resemble the original concept, and certainly it will have enough detail to make it enjoyable in-game.

the amount of effort this man is putting into this mod is like the time toyota decided to over engineer all their vehicles. Truly breathtaking
