Do you sometimes find yourself looking at cars on the market and thinking "hmm, I'd buy something like..."? Well, if you do, I want to ask you about the objects of such thoughts.

    My ideas:

    • A 90s Mercedes built to standards as high as the ones the brand had in the 70s and 80s.

    • Smaller-engined, Europe-aimed versions of the 90s Lexus GS, or maybe an older Lexus IS. I'd gladly get an early-to-mid 90s GS200 or IS180.

    • A Ford Cougar-like car, but RWD and sportier. Kinda like an Euro SN95, or a Ford E46 coupe.

A BMW E90 with the 8spd ZF gearbox and the new-style shifter. The 6spd auto is a big knockdown for me.

    An F10 with hydraulic steering

A current-gen WRX coupe with gold rims. To pay homage to the beautiful 22B.

Oh man, the Lancer. I am genuinelly mad with Mitsubishi for trying to convert the Lancer into a crossover. I would like to see what a Lancer hatchback for WRC (Just like WRC's Yaris) would look like

After all, it isn't like sedans or hatchbacks are dying in Japan (and they do pretty well in North America), so a proper new gen Lancer would save them a good amount of reputation and get them a decent amount of sales (considering that there's still a lot of Lancer and Evo fans around the world).

I would especially love to see a Evolution XI, since I do like Lancer Evos in general.

somehow a modern-ish car with simple enough architecture that you could coachbuild your own body for it, like an austin seven chassis.

trucks don't have the capability of being the base for a cool speedster, and later body-on-frame cars like panther bodies don't have enough structural rigidity for making a flimsy homemade body viable.
maybe I just need to man up, find an old rusty austin somewhere, and just fix the rust on it beforehand.

or, you know, use a caterham/locost.
